The more accurate phrase is "I can't sell it for what I've got in it!" Mike is semi-retired now. all that means is I can get him to take a vacation when i want Mike figures the value of house has dropped $30,000. We've lived here for 40 yrs. for mike and 30 years for me. That's a pretty stinking big loss to take on a house. :argh: At least it's paid for On the bright side I have him almost talked into going south for the month of February. Otter Spotter aka Debbie 58 Posted May 1, 2011 Report Share Posted May 1, 2011 Thank goodness, it's only one finger - the ring finger on my right hand. I'm still in a splint and will be until 5/11. Then, the splint comes off and the Dr is going to tape the broken finger either to my pinky or my middle finger. That's going to make typing impossible!! The Dr isn't pleased that it's taking so long to heal. That's probably due to the fact that I relied upon the "Doc In The Box" to tell me it wasn't broken in the first place & waited 3 weeks before going to a hand specialist. <sigh>The splint is a PITA - but I think the buddy taping is going to be worse. If we install another TV set and it falls from the bracket, the TV is toast!! I hear ya about the house. My DH is a saleman in a 55+ community and although he has a lot of people looking & wanting, they have to sell their homes up north, first. Unfortunately, that's not happening. However, it is all relative - price wise. I don't think there is anywhere in the country that has a good housing market. Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Lorna kept telling us we'd like it and we finally went last summer and I have fallen in love with it. The campground is not fancy schmancy but it is clean and nice. The wildlife alone in the area is worth a visit. Laurie and I went to the shallows and 3 sisters today and as we were leaving 3 sisters we saw 2 manatees swimming across so we cut the jet skis off and they swam up to us. I've never been that close to one and they are amazing animals. It was great meeting Steph and seeing Total Joker and Ms Total Joker again. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
