Doodle's Going To Little River.... Pictures Added

Recommended Posts

Yay, I'm packing up the MH and heading to Manistee. We are leaving as soon as Mike gets home this afternoon. For those not familiar with Little River it is an Indian Casino Resort with a most awesome RV park. The best part it is only $31 per night for full hook-up, which includes cable and wi-fi  Plus I am getting a 20% discount because I have a players club card

We will be staying tonight and Sunday, and yes a visit to the casino will be included. Stay tuned for Win-Loss reports. Probably more loss :rofl2:

I will take pictures and pass out FF cards. Wish me luck

"You gotta know when to hold 'em, and know when to fold 'em."

A wise man once told me the only machine you will get money from at a casino is the one that says: "A-T-M"!! :rofl2:

Wishing you a weekend full of good fortune!!

I stay away from the ATM machines Deb. You usually can't get near them anyway. It's amazing how many times you see the same people in line waiting to withdraw more money. We take $20 bucks each when that's gone we leave. If we we win a significant amount we leave. I'm happy if all I lose is my 20 bucks. :rofl2:

Good luck Doodle!  :bellringer:

I bet you find shiney and glittery things there! Just remember not to hock the RV, you will need that in October.... :rofl2:

ha ha no worries, I'm basically a tightwad. But I am like a moth to a flame when it comes to all that glitter :rofl2:

Ok here is my win-loss report. Saturday night we were in the casino about 3 hours. It took me that long to lose my $20. I don't mind losing when it takes that long to do it. :rofl2: Sunday we went back in and the machines were smoking hot. I was up $300. The only mistake I made was giving Mike my winnings. I have to teach that man to walk away, talk about a glitter attraction. We still ended up with $30 dollars more than we went in with but damn that would of been a lot of daiquiris. :'(

I will post some pictures of the campground and casino when I get home.

Tell Mike "When you are up....STEP AWAY FROM THE MACHINES!!!" :popo:

Damn, I guess we'll be making our own daquiris! :rofl2:

Putting it mildly I wasn't a happy camper. My game plan is put my $20 in, if I win a substantial amount, anthing over $50 I cash it out and give the ticket to Mike. I then stsrt again with $20. Little did I know that when I had $300 dollars worth of tickets that he cashed them in and was playing on my winnings. Mike stinks at slot machines. He should stick to blackjack <_< I know when to walk away from a loser, he keeps trying one more spin. From now on I am the keeper of the winnings. :popo:

Congrats Doodle! Bad Mike...... :popo:

Now you have me thinking about Cherokee, NC. Guess I need to search if they have camping there.

I know of 3 Indian casinos that have campgrounds. 2 are in MI and one is in Iowa. The Little River Casino campground is the nicest of the 3. Pictures coming soon.

Little River Casino resort is located in Manistee, MI. It is just a little over 2 hours west of home. It make a nice get away for a coupl of days.

One of the best things about it the perfectly level sites. Whether it is full hook or economy you are guarenteed a site that you don't have trouble levelling your RV. Yes even Lorna could do it. We basically put our jacks down so that they touched the ground and we were set.

They do not have an outdoor pool here, but RV guests are given a resort keycard and are able to use the pool inside the resort.

I also took a few shots inside the resort. I'll be back with those

There is also a small museum here.100_6629.jpg100_6635.jpg100_6628.jpg100_6627.jpg100_6626.jpg

And finally some dessert!100_6640.jpg100_6638.jpg100_6639.jpg100_6640.jpg100_6641.jpg

I had a small cup of Mud Pie Mojo, I didn't take a picture but trust me it was good. It did take two days for me to finish it though :rofl2:

That's all for now. Thanks for letting me share and please forgive my horrible photography skills :rofl2:

Wow!

That doesn't look like Minnesota to me.

That campground could use some trees.

It looks like you practically had the place to yourselves.

Did you ever get neighbors?

TCD

Well, not to seem "snarky",but it doesn't look like Minnesota because it's Michigan. And yes Andrew we were pretty much alone. This is the economy lot. When we arived on Saturday there was maybe 10 Rv's in this lot and about 15 in the full hook up section. They have 95 sites. On Sunday we had only 4 RV's behind us, the full hook up section seemed to be about the same as the day before. I honestly have never seen this place so empty. The check-in host said that business is really hurting in both the hotel and RV park. The casino was pretty empty too.
