ImDownWithDisney 342
WTF...how do they figure rates these days? We are booked for Thanksgiving week this year. I think the average rate is about $89 for a premium loop. We are looking at going back for a half marathon in Jan or Feb (or both). A full hookup site is $68 for Jan 4th....a full hookup site on the weekend of Feb 25th is $106. What justifies such an increase in Feb? It's not even a holiday on my calendar. Roller ... aka Ed 351
The rates for all Fridays & Saturdays are higher; Marathon Weekend and Princess 1/2 Marathon Weekend are also higher rates; the rates during ANY run at Disney are higher. Thank you bean counters for screwing runners twice - once on the cost of the run and again to have a place to stay before, during and after the run ...
ImDownWithDisney 342
Both weekends that we are looking at are run weekends. I have no idea why one is $40 a night higher.
mouseketab.....Carol 1,261
Mid February through after Easter starts high season for some reason, not sure why.I know Spring breaks are spread out over about 6 - 8 weeks.

I have no idea why one is $40 a night higher. The rates normally are near their lowest in January and early February, and then there is a rate increase. The Marathon Weekend is during "Value" Season - the Princess 1/2 isn't. There is a "Race" premium for both, though.

momofmany...Christina 17
Is this for 2011? Just wondering because I was thinking that when I looked at the rates for the second half of April 2012, it was regular season. I hope it's not peak at that time next year! I think since Easter is early, rates go down after that.
