DaveInTN 3,247 Posted September 11, 2012 Report Share Posted September 11, 2012 I was looking around the official Disney Fort Wilderness website tonight and came across this interesting tidbit: Fun FactsThe tree trunk trashcans throughout Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort are recycled props from the retired Indian Village attraction that was open in Frontierland at Disneyland Theme Park in California from 1955 to 1971.I just thought that was interesting...hadn't heard that before. I also found it interesting that someone would highlight that fact on the website, as I thought they had been phasing those trashcans out in recent years. They were long gone before that tidbit was put on the website. There might be two left at the campfire area. But I'm not even sure they are still there. Otherwise there are none.The site also shows a photo of a dad and daughter fishing from a dock.The only dock anyone can fish from at FW is Bob's dock.The one in the photo is the Fishing Hole at the POR resort.I'm telling you that place is run by a bunch of idiots.TCD Quote Link to post Share on other sites
