Disney Hiring Bus Drivers

Recommended Posts

Wannabe a WDW bus driver, now's your chance, Disney is hiring.

They're accepting applications for part-time drivers.

There is a slight catch however. You'll have to work night shifts on either Friday, Saturday & Sunday or Saturday, Sunday & Monday only. Starting pay is $10.90/hr.

Glad I started when I did. I needed to be available for only two days and I could choose what those days were.

I am currently learning to drive a school bus and get my CDL. I wonder if WDW would fly me down to drive the weekend?

Having a CDL or tons of bus driving experience means absolutely nothing to Disney. You'd have to start from the beginning just like someone who has or had never sat behind the wheel of a bus, me for instance.

Oh I need to tell my mom! She was grilling our bus drivers last year about working for the mouse! Lol

I'm not sure I'd want my mom doing that.

Hey Lou...Linda says we can come down and I can drive a bus if you can find her a job as a Disney nurse.

I'm not aware of any Disney nurses jobs at WDW.

So does Disney also train you to be cranky or is that a talent you were born with?

Some people are born natural musicians, or athletes. I was born cranky and old so I just do what comes natural.

Hey let me know when they hire boat captains. I want to drive the boats from DTD to POR and OKW, etc. I'm currently studying for my captains license from the coast guard. Or is Disney not regulated by the coast guard because its on private waterways?

Boat captains, that's funny. You were joking weren't you? They're one step above the lever pushers.

The Reedy Creek Improvement District built and maintains the 134 miles of roads and 67 miles of waterways so they are not privately owned.

I don't know for sure, but if the boat pilots jobs are anything like the bus driver jobs, Disney will either train you to get whatever you need to be a WDW boat pilot or recertify you if you already have the necessary USCG licenses that allows you to pilot the various watercraft. If that's the case and just like the bus drivers, you don't need to already have a license or experience to be hired. Kinda scary isn't it?

Any disney dentist jobs(will they train me for that?)

Nope and nope.

People just naturally assume that there is a full Disney medical staff at WDW, but there isn't any for guests.

CMs that are covered by the company insurance do have a medical facility on property run by Cigna. Part timers are out of luck for the most part.

Anyone needing non emergency medical attention is usually referred to Centra Care as it's just about on property.

If it's an emergency or life threatening situation, it's an ambulance and the closest appropriate hospital.

No I'm not joking that's my dream retirement job.

Lever pusher! Lever pusher! do not compare those skilled, brave, non cranky, captains to lever pushers!

Your probably going to tell me that all the transport boats run on rails just under the waters surface.

I'd like to see you whip your bus around and slide right into the dock without spilling a drop of my beverage.

Wait I shouldn't of said that, you might take it as a challenge. I feel sorry for your passengers as you practice your drifting skills.

Would you actually have to know how to drive in order to be a bus driver? Are there any openings for scooter drivers? How about beer tasters? I could do that. I am thinking I could also take my iPad down and become a photographer.

Has Disney announced hiring yet for Mickey's Backyard Massage Parlor and Casino? Massage Therapists? Poker Dealers? Escorts?

Disney has handled all these positions with one hire.
