Tri-Circle-D 2,059
Sounds like they snuck them out very recently. But they were already gone from the Safari on 3/13/13 The only report on this thread of no zebras at AKL came from Lou, who didn't recall seeing them on his last visit. Since Lone-Star saw them earlier this month, perhaps the Great One just wasn't paying attention. There have been zebras in the AKL savannahs since the resort opened more than ten years ago. I don't believe that they have been removed from there. TCD
BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
But they were already gone from the Safari on 3/13/13 Sorry, I thought you were talking about the ones on the attraction, not at the Lodge. There hasn't been any mention of removing them from AKL, I was just curious since they had yet another problem with them on KS. But TCD is right, they've been at AKL for ages, so they seem to have worked out having them settled in there fine. Not sure why that didn't work on the attraction - although that's also a much smaller space.

I can imagine that situation being stressful for a "wild" animal.
LONE-STAR 370
At AKL I only saw 2 or 3 Zebras. On the Safari I bet there were 20 or 30 all gathered together back in November.
