  1. I really thought that all sites were 1 RV + 1 Tent.  In fact, I was arguing with trying to fit that one extra human into our cramped little space so we could have a food tent outside.  Ugh, so what would be the appropriate etiquette among campers?  I don't want to be one of "those" people as my daughter says.

For my $.02 (no real cash value)...I think if you are placing your tent in a way that is not encroaching on other sites, you are all good...sans Lou's buddy Barney Fife stopping buy. There is plenty of evidence around that suggests Tents are a-ok on premium sites.

  2. I just remembered this gem.

If you go to the official WDW Fort Wilderness website, which you can find here:  https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/resorts/campsites-at-fort-wilderness-resort/

This is the very first photo you'll see:

That tent isn't on a site.

That picture right there is what I call a CYA (cover yo' arse). Print it out in wallet size and whip it out for any over zealous ranger dude. C:-) C:-) C:-)

  3. We like the sites in 300 about midway through the outside of the loop - 333, 334, 335 ish.

Because of where they land on the loop, you're not stacked up right next to your neighbor, and there are big bushes behind you, so they feel very private.

    Some pics of 335...

Hey Mo - thanks for the photos...Quick question....love the idea of the rug over the gravel pit...cuz that crap drives me crazy. Are those just regular outdoor rugs? Do they roll up pretty small?

  4. Not sure about the other values as I haven't stayed at any others, but I experienced the noise Beckers described too.  We were on the ground floor and we could also hear people passing by talking - and not even loudly.

You should check out those nachos.  They are delicious. They key is that instead of corn chips, they're made with the housemade potato chips.  You can get whatever you want on them - I like the chicken. Yum yum!

Excuse me, how did I not know this was a thing??????

We stayed at All-Star Movie Resort in '08 and enjoyed it. DD was 4 and thought it was the best.

  5. Thanks to all for the feedback.  We can get a rate of $148 at the All Star resort through the gymnastics event.  I will contact Jason to see if he is able ot find some other discounts.

Jason is the best. He just found me a reservation for next Christmas at the Fort...when Disney showed they had nothing. Jason = awesome.

  6. I hope I'm never behind someone with a bag like that at the WDW Theme Park bag checks.

Wait.  Too late. Not very magical.

I wish they had a designated lane for those.

My previous sack was a wally-world special and fell apart. It had lots of pockets too, but they only ever checked the big one....so I breeze right through. But perhaps it is less about the bag and more about my shining face and sparkling personality. I'm a delight, dammit! >:D >:D >:D

  7. What was this thread about?

It was started by yours truely because I was superdy-duperdy excited about my "free" cooler backpack and was curious about what other people like to use to lug their stuff into the parks.  An innocent comment from Jason about Vodka (are comments about liquor every REALLY inncoent?) sent us in a whole new direction.

I am now quite concerned that may backpack does not have an adult beverage dispenser and did not include a free frisbee. :rofl2:
