Have you seen this yet?
Super job by these people. Made me laugh, hope you do too.

I was wondering if the more permanent residents of the Fort have been asked to leave? How are they fairing? Can they leave their 5th wheels parked
and return to their usual spot when the crisis has passed?
I wondered the same thing.

Now it seems obvious he had to have an idea of exactly what was coming with the massive closures. Wonder how much stock he sold.

I saw a FB post where the poster said they were quarantined to their site.
I asked it they were instructed to do that by Disney, but they replied it was a self quarantine because someone in their party has a compromised immune system.
That makes better sense.

Read that Fort campers are being quarantined to thier respective campsites until closure.

I haven’t seen anyone mention that WDW is immediately terminating all of the current College Program castmembers and all international exchange castmembers and having them vacate Disney housing this week.
That is about 8000+ CM’s, all of whom work in the front lines of attractions, retail, recreation, custodial and more.
The Parks cannot operate at normal capacity without these CM’s, and the next batch isn’t scheduled to arrive until mid-May.
These moves by Disney suggest that the shutdown is going to go well beyond April 1. And when the parks finally do open, expect reduced operating hours and little entertainment.

That's pretty substantial. And depressing since were scheduled to begin a trip after the 1st.

Wow. That's gonna hit the bottom line.
I imagine they can absorb these 2 weeks with the price markup on soda alone in one month.

...but will they extend your passes?? Guesses?
-
Will they extend annual passes?

We do Pirateland in Myrtle every year, and though it's a bit daunting when you first pull in, it's one of our favorite stops.

I thought it was going to be an indoor coaster! Bummer

I don’t understand this comment.
The current boarding pass system IS a lottery. It’s no longer first come first served. Everyone tries at once- some guests get a boarding group. Some get standby. Some get nothing.
It’s all a big scheme to hide the fact that the attraction breaks down and has to be evacuated several times EVERY day. They opened the attraction knowing full well that its current capacity cannot come close to meeting demand. But they can’t be honest about that because it would hurt resort reservations and ticket sales. So they have created the pretense that everyone has a shot at getting a boarding group, when there’s less than a 50% chance that you will.

Interesting. I haven't read everything on it, just been coming across things as I surf. I figured a single person would have gotten a pass easily if you were there on time. Makes sense if it's not working properly.

Just read a post from today that a guy went to HS, made it in by 8 and could not get a boarding pass. All were gone in 60 seconds. He was staying 15 minutes away and left at 6 for 8 am opening and he just made it in the park at 7:58. Took him 2 hours to fight traffic and get through security. Someone else said the traffic to HS was out to I-4 at 8 am.
He's speculating that it went to a lottery system in the app as he was a single rider.
Hoping we can on during spring break.

Just saw that Feb 19th, tier 2 will now include Rockin Rollercoaster and ToT. So you could get Smugglers , RNR and ToT in one fast pass set. That's pretty cool

Hit me with some guesses. 1k per day?

The boat ride was long...I should have mentioned that.

Big auction going off for some smaller, single slide travel trailers that are located in FLA.
These were most likely lived in after a storm so they will have some abuse but are new enough that you could make them pretty decent.
Be sure to read the descriptions! Some have cig smoke and one had roaches!
Still, for a few bucks you could clean up and flip em. I'm just too far away to get in on the action.

Really starting to jones for our spring break trip in 60 days!
Found this great old home movie, said to be found at an estate sale. So many cool long one things at the Fort.
Posted only a few days ago.
Enjoy!

Whoa! So this means 60 days out from first day of arrival correct?

Saw a post where a DVC salesperson told a prospective client that the Reflections Resort WILL include Campsites on its new property. If true, could these be the high end pull throughs that have been mentioned on and off?
-
Hope everyone makes it home safe. Heading back to work tomorrow...looking forward to spring break!

Look. At. This.
Imagine being in that shot in front of Peter Pan. Wow.
The demand is incredible and the crowds are making us not want to do anything more than resort hop, swim and camp!
Interested to see if it cools off in the next few years.

Wife showed me a few pics from the internet. One was the MK line for Buzz, all the way to the bridge at the rotunda. Read that it shut down at 1:30 for capacity and then Epcot started to fill. Didn't look like somewhere I'd want to go at all!
Can we get a new park in a new city yet?

Grade it off and plant grass and trees, put up 3 rail fence. Problem solved! Now back your regularly schedule Crockett's rocking chair.
