I just wish the price of gas plummets between now and then!
For what it's worth gas should be cheaper in NJ and they pump it for you, just try not to get gas in town there is a WAWA outside in an area called Rio Grand that might be the best price for gas. I was camping around Cape May this weekend and filled up on the way home with diesel @ 3.6 a gallon.
That's going to be a fun ride from Pittsburg what route are you going to take?

I think it's great thing the spike fairy I love it just wish we were not so far away that I could get one. I liked your refrence about Take Me to EPCOT at first he seemed harsh but I got to like his style quickly and aslo enjoyed his TR at the other place, will he be joing us here or has he already under another alias. Love your trip report as always.

Just watch out for the kids when they are on the boardwalk some of the games of chance are known to drain the kids of their money, it happened to a couple of our boy scouts when they were there a few years ago. Other then that have fun and enjoy.

Thanks for the great pictures of the old railroad, I wish I could have seen it in it's prime, I like trains and did the Behind the Steam Tour and learned alot about all of the trains invoved with Disney. I would recommend this tour as it tells all and even Walt's railroad at his home.
I to remember pop tops and also having to open cans with an opener, we used to call them church keys( I don't know why) and even told my son to hand me the church key on the side of the fridge( magnectic) and he just gave me the deer in the headlight look
, anyway, as Bob Hope would sing, thanks for the memories.

Trying to see if anyone would be interested on trying to get a Gathering together here? I was thinking of going up over a vacation I have in August, maybe the weekend of 8/19 - 21, I was also thinking that if we could try to go up from that Thursday till Sunday thay way folks could go the park on Friday when it would be less crowded, Sat. tends to have all the company & church picnics there and also no wrist bands on the weekends. Then on Sat where could just sitback and relax @ the campground.
All this of course would depend on if anyone would be interested and also what room the campground would have, they do have some sort of plan for ressies there for a group we would have to check on that, and they have a nice size pavillion that ihts near some sites that would be nice to try and get Sorry if I put to much thinking into this it's just that we like this area and thought it would be a nice place to go seeing we can not go to the Fort every year :argh:

Hey Abagpiper5, we will be @ Seashore Campsites for the Mother's day weekend, how far are you from there they might still have sites as we were there last year and it was not crowded at all.
I would love to go somewhere on Mother's Day, but the wife won't have it. She says that camping with 4 wee one's is too much work for her getting things ready.
We have been blessed with very well behaved kids and that's not an issue. When we do camp, we usually eat at the trailer.
We have stayed at Seashore Campsites and had a good time. The sites are a wee bit close to each other thou. I'll see if I can find some pic's.
We have camped quite a few times @ Seashore as my mother is a seasonal there( thus the trip Mothers Day weekend) I usually try to get down to help open the camper for her, we try to get the large pull thru sites on the left before the lake. We will also eat most of the time at the camper, we will camp with friends and it just easier to eat there then try to get a group to agree on a place everyone likes, plus that's part of the reason we camp.

We ate there last trip with a party of 12 the only real issue we had was 1 person ordered the steak rare ( he's from Tx) and it took 3 times before it came the way he wanted it, by then everyone else was almost done their meal. We also celabrated 2 birthdays while there, all in all I really liked it and would be happy to dine there again.

After all the hassle of the weather I am so glad we decided to go thru with our plans. I could just picture what it would have been like if the GG stayed the way it was before all the weather isssues, anyway can not wait for the next one to I hope meet some more new folks. I was more worried if someone with 4 kids would try to go that route just wanted to make sure they knew that, when I got my 1st crew cab I told the salesperson not to metion about turning off the air bags so my boys would not ride up front, then they said about not being able to turn them off at all, that was what I learned new that day.
I love the color of your truck best of luck with it.
-
That's hot! It broke my heart when my family out grew our truck.. You can't get 4 car seats in there  without duck tape anyway.. :)
Ummm - you CAN get 4 car seats in this one - as long as ones a small one to fit between the driver and passenger!
In most crew cab trucks I do not think you can turn off the front air bags, only in regular & cab and a half so they do not recommend children in the front. Just in case I wanted to pass this along for saftey.

Hope to be on the road by 2:00 right after the wife gets home, shoud be about a 2 and a half hour ride ( I hope) Looking forward to meeting everyone :) :rofl2:

Just like to give a heads up to anyone that might be going thru Delaware this Easter weekend and I am sure next week also. They are STILL doing work at the toll booths and I also heard the the Delaware Memorial bridge will have lane restrictions untill 11:00 Fiday morning, I know last weekend the toll booths were baked up during the day almost 6 miles. Good luck and safe travels to all.
