  1. Ok I also recieved a full refund for GC, I hope they get back on their feet soon, they seem like very nice people and will hope to try the place out some time. Anyway I am looking forward to meeting all who made the move to Granite Hill, we will be there from Thursaday till Sun. lets hope we get a break from the rain. See you all there :siren: :barf: :rofl2:

  2. I have tried to call Gettysburg Campground several times this morning.  Keep getting their answering machine.  I finally left a message.  I hope they refund my $.  I am so upset about not being able to camp this weekend, I really could cry.

I just called also and also got the machine I am sure they are really busy trying to reopen, I hope they refund us also I already paid for 2 nights, if not at least a credit for another time.

  3. Ok just got  the phone with Granite Hill we are in site 6B the lady siad we are close to the ones already booked, now I have to call Gettysburg Campground to cancel. Hope we get a break an the weather this is just mean bury us in tons of snow now wash us away with rain.

  4. I just got home from work( Tuesday @ 8am) and am catching up I guess I will try to call Granite Hill around 9 to see if they still have room for us,seeing that the remaining ones going are headed there, I'll post when I know anything else

  5. When we shop for a camper I will stand in the shower, sit on the toilet to make sure I fit, I'm not real big but tall, the beds I've learned to live with. When we think we found the one we like we try to spend a good amount of time in the unit @ the dealers lot to see if it works for us, not a fool proof plan but it does eliminate some mistakes. Most dealers have never complained to us but even if they did they are not the only one who sells that brand.

  6. Do not forget that the tow rateing will also apply to the brakes as well, I am sure a 250 will have a better brake system maybe larger brake pads to assist with towing also don't forget added suspension. We have had rather large 5th wheels for about 10 years now and started with a single wheel 1 ton because everyone said that's all you need, well after gettig the duelly I would not go back to the singles it is so more stable in turns now.

I see your points as well but just don't cut things to close a little overkill will benifit in the long run, just my opinion.  :)Good luck on your choice >:D

  7. I'm about to call and see if i can get a site.  Didn't think we were going to make it but looks like last min. trip planning is in full swing today.

Great I think that brings iup to 8, we could not get a site close but the lady said it's a short walk, keep us posted

  8. We were there over the 4th last year but did not use the pool that day , I think we did Typhoon Lagoon then Ca Grill for dinner & fireworks. Whe we were leaving the Fort to Typhoon Lagoon we saw a guard at the overflow lot( then you could still enter from the back gate and half the lot could be enerted before the Fort) I heard they were checking names and not letting others in that were not guests, I guess it didn't work. We  were told it was to keep from letting to many folks in to watch fireworks but I thought they were there all day. :D
