  1. I always enjoyed his trip reports, I aslo enjoy all the others also, he just has a way of makeing his stand out. We live to far away and do not get there as often a I would like to so all the trip repotrs fill the void, thanks to all that do it ::)

  2. I know what it use to be like to take Rt47 down to Wildwood NJ and nothing could be as bad as that was.

Unfortunately it STILLl is!!  When our relatives come down to the shore they say that Rt. 47 gets their stomachs ready for the rides! ::)

We will find out in May as we are going to Sea Shore Campsites for Mother's Day weekend.

  3. Tiggn Taz I am sure we will have room in our fridge if need be, but we are in site #1 not real close. I am sure we will add something else just not sure yet.

We need to get an idea of how many of us there will be like adults & kids, we will most likely be my wife & I, if more it would only be our 15 year old son.

What repairs need to be done and if you need help there I'm sure you will get plenty, that's if you want help

  4. What are they doing at those toll booths?  They were working there last fall when we went thru there.

They are installing high speed EZ Pass lanes, they have them on Rt 1 and they are great go right thru at highway speed. I know at some of the busy toll lanes in Pa on the turnpike they did the same thing, on our way to Cedar Point once it took almost 20 minutes for our friends to catch up because they do not have EZ pass and we sailed right thru.

  5. Just thought I would give a headsup to anyone traveling thru De. during the spring break times I was on 95 last night and drove over top it today and the toll booths at the construction zones are backed up both directions. The traffic reports sya to expect that weekends all thru the Easter holiday, also if you try to miss it by going thru at night they have road work at the Rt1 exit that will shut down the highway at night and detour you around it also I think at times in both directions.

Just do not want htis to ruin the start or end of anyones vacation, have a safe trip

  6. Rt 13 would be ok till you got below Dover but plan on alot of traffic lights, you will have to get over to Rt1 sometime to get to Rt113 to get towards Ocean City. We use Rt1 all the time to go to the De. Beaches and it is not a problem, we have a 5th wheel not sure if it makes a difference, I would stick with the Rt1 choice I do not think it will be that bad.

  7. We will be there for the Covered Bridge Festival in Oct. think large craft fair. We were there last year for a 3 day weekend the same time and got to go out to dinner with the owners Dick Konoble and his 2 sons, it was a great night and learned alot about the place, can not wait for this year to see them again. We might have to plan a trip there during the summer to see the park in full operation.

Who knows that might be a great palce for a Grand Gathering for folks who can not make the Fort all the time, J&D would be a great spot to camp as they have the large pavillion behind some of the sites.

  8. I remeber the last time we were at WDW we saw a bus coming out of a resort road( I think back by the Tree Houses) that must have cut the corner to close or had a car come into his path but it looked like he ran the rear wheels down into a ditch, he was makind a right turn so I guess he was turning to sharp. I always joke saying I like trailers better then motorhomes(or buses) because they bend in the middle.

Hey Magi Bus have you ever driven one of the buses that bend in the middle and can you back them up at all?

  9. I drive for UPS and they have a station set up in the yard to stop to aduyst your mirrors, they have squares painted on the ground that you should be able to see in your mirrors. I agree with the use of mirrors, the training we recieve is unbelievable when new drivers traansfer to the tractor trailers we tell them to just listen and try to remember everything you never know when it will come in handy, it does work.

I do love how when you pull into a campground you become the entertainment as everyone watches you back in, I know I have disappoitnted alot of folks when I don' t have a problem, I have even had folks tell me they could not get in the site I just backed into ::) :rofl2: :rofl2:
