  1. It may not void the warranty, but it's good to verify with the trailer manufacturer first. I didn't mean to make you concerned, I just wanted to make you aware some manufacturers may have issues with some of these new adapters on the market. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  2. My kids are big Monsters INC. fans and we always did the meet with Mike and Sully in DHS. I believe this location has been demolished as part of the upgrades to DHS. Does anyone know of any Monsters INC character meets in any of the Disney World parks? We're visiting in mid February. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I'm in nc and they are not required here, but I'm considering adding them soon. My truck is older, 2006, when there was no factory option for a gooseneck. So mine is aftermarket and has these ubolts to connect chains. I would think if your truck has the factory gooseneck there is probably a way to connect chains. However, you may need a ford/chevy/dodge adapter to connect them, I'm just not familiar with the newer trucks. Here is a pic of the goose neck in my truck bed. I believe the "safety chain" add on from Andersen is around $75. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. I failed to mention earlier, but when you're making sharp turns such as backing into a site you'll now need to watch for clearance between the nose of the camper and the truck cab (such as when jackknifed) and clearance between the pin box and top of the truck bed rails. It's usually not an issue, but you do need to be aware.
  5. Just keep in mind persons not familiar with hitches similar to the Andersen may confuse what your discussing with the Gooseneck adapters that are installed on the trailer, and remain with the trailer when disconnected from the truck. ( I'm pretty sure Reece makes one of these). I bring it up because those similar to the Reese unit may void some trailer manufacturers warranty due to the additional stress imparted on the trailer pin box. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. Welcome to the forum. We have a camper with similar specs to the one you have, a 2016 Reflection 357bhs. Like you, we recently changed (in late 2015) from a TT to a 5er. I use the "Andersen Ultimate Connection" hitch. At first I was skeptical but after a year of use and around 5,000 towing miles I'm very pleased with it. People at campgrounds often ask about it as well. The version I have is the aluminum that connects to a "gooseneck" ball in the bed. Installation and removal is really easy it only weighs 40lbs vs 150lb plus for many others. It's rated to tow 24,000lbs and pin wei
  7. We currently have a 42' 5th wheel and I greatly prefer how it tows and how it responds while backing. Our previous camper was a 34' travel trailer. My tow vehicle for both of these was a large pickup truck, a f350 crew cab long bed. When towing the TT it seemed to cause much bouncing and front-to-back rocking when going over bumps in the road vs the 5er. Also I found the 5er has more ground clearance vs the TT when crossing speed humps and especially when crossing the transition from say a gas station to a main road. A big difference I noted when turning is 5ers vs TT is the 5er "cuts co
  8. We will be at WDW during the "extension", I'm sad to here that. My son and I always look forward to riding the train. This happened to us during the last refurb a year or so ago. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. They are both cold water connections. One connection is for your rv, the other typically has hose already connected but with the female threaded end removed. We typically use it to rinse items off such as the golf car or anything else needing a rinse. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  10. Even with the flat it still sounds like you had a great Thanksgiving. Glad it all worked out. I always look forward to your TR's Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. The deck of the "smaller" boats are about a foot lower than the edge of the boat hull so you definitely can not "roll on". We have carried our folded double stroller on so we could catch the monorail at the contemporary. Typically the small boats have plenty of room as few folks are going between the resorts, exception may be just before/after hooptidoo or bybbq show times. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. I got a Garmin 760. The screen is really large, boder line too large for me as it can block a significant amount of the windshield. However, that size does make it really easy to see and read. Also, when I first got it connected to a computer it requested both a system update and map update, which was not surprising. However, it took approximately two hours to finish updating on my home internet connection (gigs of data) so don't plan to update on the road. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Is the difference in features worth getting the 660 instead of the 760? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. Waze is my go to app for local driving or when I'm in "developed" areas. I was looking for a dedicated gps so when cell service is unreliable I can modify or create a new route/destination. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  16. Polling for opinions on relative accuracy of crowd calendars for planning which days are the best to visit different parks during visits. Are any of them remotely accurate? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

(New Members here) Visiting FW May 1-7. I've heard there is construction going on, is this true, if so anyone know what loops/areas are affected (We will be staying in a premium site)? Also, where can I get schedules for the MK fireworks, the water pageant, and campfire movies? At some campgrounds we have difficulty fitting our camper in a site, ours is fairly large (42ft), The inability to select site has me a little concerned, how is site selection handled especially if we can't fit in a site? The grandparents will be staying with us as well is there overflow parking
