  1. Awww man...the start of your trip report made me a little weepy. I'm weird like that. I didn't like it when Wil went to the middle school...college is going to be impossible for me. But I would be happy to put on a long curly wig and go to the Fort with you any time you want to. Ya know, just to make you feel better.
  2. So excited for another Troll report!! Although I have to say, my 8 year old daughter happened to be around when I read the last one and now whenever I try to take her picture I get this... Yep...duck face. :rofl3: But I'll still read along anyway.
  3. I don't really care about where our room is (I've never cruised at all before, so maybe I'm being naive here) and don't really have a preference for dining time (if that matters) so I'm tempted to wait, but I'm a planner when it comes to vacation and I think I would feel better having it booked. Maybe I will email Rhonda to ask for some advice. Thanks guys!! I really appreciate the input!
  4. So, I'm planning a cruise on the Fantasy in September 2014. I have been all over the DCL site and know which cruise I want and the date and everything. I was getting ready to gather up the considerable down payment when I read something that said if I wait till the last minute, I could save a "significant" amount on my cruise. Which just sounds counter-intuitive to me, but I'm wondering what everyone thinks. Book now or wait till closer to the sail date??
  5. Another great blast from the past! Count me in!!

  7. Thank you! I don't think I've ever seen the Santa Clause, but now I'm curious. lol
  8. Looks beautiful! Only Disney would put that much thought and effort into a bathroom. Personally, I absolutely love it.
  9. Oh don't get me wrong...I'm def a rule follower too...and I hardly drink, but if someone wants a Rummy Dole Whip, I was just thinking of a way. :wave1:
  10. I say just get one of those dark colored reusable water bottles to take into the park with you but fill it with a little rum. Get yourself a Dole Whip and presto change-o....a rum dole whip!
  11. I think I am all out of photos, but we're at Wednesday afternoon and we went home on Thursday so we're almost done. But first I have to share my Fiend experiences. I knew that Lisa and Stef were going to be at the Fort at the same time as me, so periodically I would go looping and see if I could find their sites. Actually, I think Lisa put her site # up on Facebook and I found her that way. Eventually I stumbled upon Stef's site as well. But everytime I drove by, there wasn't anyone around. So Wednesday after we got back from GKTW, we hopped onto the golf cart and headed to refill our drinks
  12. Yep that's right where we were. You made Vaughn's day. I'm not sure if you can see the fireworks from where we were either. We grabbed that spot after the fireworks were done. It was a perfect spot though. Right by an exit when it was all over too. Indeed we have Lou. Briefly. I know you and your wife got your 10 year angel pins. And I'll say it again...thanks!! Go Pens indeed!! I have been to Slippery Rock campground, but only once and a million years ago. Growing up we had a permanent site at Plantation Park in Mercer, PA. We had a great green golf cart. Wish I still had it. Glad you f
  13. Thanks for coming back to read along. I can't take credit for the pictures. Those were all Vaughn. We were lucky enough to snag spots right behind the rope at the corner before you go over the one bridge to the castle. It was really the perfect spot. And most of the performers would see Vaughn and would stop and pose for him. The MNSSHP was truly one of the highlights of the trip. I would recommend it to anyone!
  14. Just to provide a quick recap for anyone who doesn't know...our trip to Disney World in 2008 was the result of a Make a Wish for my daughter. When you travel to any of the Orlando parks as a part of a wish trip, you stay at an amazing resort called Give Kids the World Village. It is exclusively for families of "wish kids" and everything there is completely free to the families who stay there. As a former wish family, we are invited to go back any time and visit for the day. So Wednesday morning, that's exactly what we did. We were welcomed back and given a slip to have lunch at Katie's Kitc
  15. We stopped for hotdogs once we got into the park. At this point we were off the dining plan so 4 hotdogs cost us $50. Yikes! We hit Buzz Lightyear again and this time, my gun worked just fine. We boogied with Chip, Dale and Stitch. And saw some friends. Then we headed over to the Haunted Mansion. When Ali and I had been there the first time, it was raining so much that the Ghost Lady hadn't been out. But tonight, the weather was perfect and she was there. She was hysterical! Vaughn could have stood there all night. But we moved on to Woody's party. Then the fireworks started and I ha
  16. I have let this go on too long and I have been properly shamed so I will try to wrap up the rest of my report today (or tomorrow). Not sure why I let it go again...maybe it's just that I don't like things to end. Maybe I'm just lazy. Anyway...here goes. Tuesday morning. We took the kids over to Wilderness Lodge for a late breakfast at Whispering Canyon. We had dinner here in 2008 and it was loud and obnoxious...just the way we liked things. Breakfast was definitely more sedate. It was good, but not nearly as rowdy as we would have liked. While we were at breakfast, we told the kids that w
  17. Just when I finally decide I'm going to go on a Disney Cruise instead of a repeat trip to the World...you go and do the walking tour and make me Fort-sick and now my mind is not as made up as it was. Awesome as always TCD. Thanks.
  18. When I see someone like the lady in your grossest picture ever, I just wonder..doesn't anyone love her enough to tell her??? If I suddenly lost my mind and decided to stroll around Disney World like that, I would hope someone would love me enough to stop me.
  19. I love the race photos! I don't run, but I think that if someday I was inclined to run in a Disney Race, I would be wearing a costume for 3 reasons. 1 - It's Disney. 2 - I could end up in someone's trip report 3 - when I finish dead last and drag my behind over the finish line I can blame it on the stupid costume.(eg too heavy, too long etc...)
