  1. Loving the report so far. (When I read it though I keep hearing Billy Joel singing "I'd rather laugh with the sinners, than cry with the saints".) I love everything Disney and you would think that I would not enjoy a report full of rants and disparaging comments about my homeland, but I know it comes from a place of love, so I let it slide. :heartsmiley: :rofl2:
  2. I love love LOVE the MNSSHP!!! I know it's not cheap, but totally worth it to me. We had such a blast last year and can't wait to go again. I'm not really a huge parade fan, but that one is a doozy! And the fireworks are nothing short of spectacular! Glad you guys got to go. And btw - I'm a born and bred Yankee, but I say y'all too. Which is weird cause I'm from Pittsburgh where the thing to say is "Yinz". I've never said Yinz, but I drop Y'all quite often. Anyway...onward Disney soldier!
  3. Bottom of page three isn't too bad. Glad to be along on another TCD TR. And I'm jealous cause I didn't even get to meet Lou let alone travel around Epcot with him.
  4. I'm so late but I'm here. I was going to add a duck face photo, but now that I see that exposing unbuff pecs is the new "in thing" I will have to think of something else. We stayed at CS on our honeymoon in 1999 and loved it. Rant on!
  5. I'm the only one in the fam who has any experience riding horses (and that's going back some years). Last time in Disney, we went places and did things we had never done before. I'm trying to find new things to try so I'm ok if it's a "well that was fun but we don't need to do it again" kind of thing. But thanks again guys!
  6. I adore my dogs and think of them as family, but I can't say I'm on board with this. I know just in my neighborhood, I seem to be the only one who cleans up after my dogs on walks, not to mention there are lots of little kids (and adults) who are afraid of dogs. And, as TCD mentioned, there's the barking. Besides which, when we are in Disney, we are barely in the room. So, what, I'm going to lug my dogs all that way to keep them cooped up in a room? What's the point?
  7. Thanks fiends! I will certainly look into the camper/campsite rental. I appreciate all the help!
  8. Totally off topic, but I just noticed that I got a new tag!! Woo hoo!!
  9. Well since it's officially been 1 year since our last visit to the World, it's time to start planning the next one (hopefully). Originally, I was hoping to get on a cruise next year, but DH's job is sort of shaky at the moment and it just seems like over-reaching, so I thought we could get some days in at WDW. I know the kids (and I) would choose the FW cabins as first choice, but those are also rather expensive, so I'm thinking we can could maybe swing a moderate and take one whole day to spend at FW. DD is old enough now to do the trail ride and I was wondering if anyone has done it? What
  10. Yes, very proud of the virtual Legos. They hurt a whole lot less when you step on them than their non-virtual brothers. And I know what you mean about the costumes being misinterpreted. My son was Yoda once and was asked constantly if he was Shrek. And at last years MNSSHP, he was Dipper from Gravity Falls and even I barely knew who he was.
  11. The box head is not Ralph. It's Steve from Minecraft. Minecraft is an online/video game where kids build stuff. Sort of like virtual Legos. My son is a master.
  12. They are hoagies. Anna looks big. I hate that whole "growing up" thing. I keep trying to stop my kids too. Defeated looks beautiful! I'd love to make it there someday. I hate baseball, but Go Braves. (That is baseball, right?)
  13. The sunset over TCD twins made me a little teary eyed. Good job, Dad.
  14. This is the second TCD trip report with bonus material. Better watch it, TCD or we're going to get spoiled!!
  15. Dang. We'll have to try harder next time. Maybe the same person who came up with those crayon tricks can come up with some clever Lou-bait.
  16. I'm rather disappointed that Lou has not come out of the woodwork to raise holy-heck about the deliberate/hidden Mickey issue. Oh well. The crayon tricks are neat! I think I'm gonna try them on my kids and take credit for being brilliant. :rofl2:
  17. Ok, are you deliberately trying to tick Lou off? :rofl3: The Mickey heads on the white poles are not exactly "hidden" Mickeys. Lou would call them "deliberate" Mickeys. I was wondering if you were trying to infuriate him so much he would break down and admit to reading your TR. :rofl2:
  18. Your towel animal that night looks like a butt. (I am giggling myself silly right now...I guess I know where my kids' love of potty humor comes from)
  19. Wonderful report! Can't wait to see the post when WBI Jr. arrives!!
