Thanks fiends for these trip reports on the F&W. Expecting 4 sets of visitors from the north in the next few weeks. Only one set staying with us. I'm sending the various reports on to them....maybe get some more fiends in the process ......good going guys!!

Your fil and the Mounty make a nice picture. We took a vacation in Canada years ago and also found the citizens very friendly and helpful.

Just read your latest post to my mil, she then told me about her grandmother making pickles in a large barrel, she said they were really good. Your's looked really good too.

I wondered what it was like inside the chapel, so pretty. Like the fact of several chapels.

The swan boats reminded me of the ones they use to have at the MK.

WOW caught up again...sure miss a lot when don't get on-line for a few days. All of it is so interesting, favorites are icecream faces, sunrise pics, the day at CC and all the food pics :banana: :banana: :banana:

I think the bird in question is a red shouldered hawk. They are very common in the area. Love to hear them calling.

Went back to take another look at both birds. The 1st photo could be a young hawk of either type, I guess. The photo of the short tailed hawk has a very bright yellow breast, maybe an adult?

Caught up again...brrr 33..note to self... remember warm layers, more than I think I'll need! Love this trip!

Holy cow..if I don't start reading a TCD trip report when he starts writing it, I get so far behind...all the way up to page #13 now, where the discussion is about the ugly building that will be rearing it's ugly head over our beautiful camp ground. Stopped reading , had to put in a comment....

When Eisner and the yes men were in Epcot looking at France, the question was, will the Swan and Dolphin have an effect on the scene with the Eiffil Tower. Answers were no...but guess what's rearing their heads behind France. GRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr :banghead: ........now back to reading, page 14 here I come.

Was glad to finally learn the planet/real bright star I've been watching for a few months is Ur in is...nah...that don't work, Uranis.

The talk about no booze in MK reminded me that the last time I went to MK the people in front of me at the security table had to watch as the 'guard' tossed their beer. Don't remember brand, just it was in bottles and was one of the expensive ones. Wondered if they would have been allowed to take it into Epcot or another of the parks. So next time I was at Epcot I asked a guard about it. He said all the parks would toss any alcohol. He said it's opened backstage and poured into a container, then ....ok brain freeze..but it's distroyed anyway. He said he's had to pour out a $60 bottle of whiskey. The reason he gave me is Disney has a Florida liquor license that could be in trouble cancled if people were allowed to bring their own acohol into the parks. I may have said this before...stupid old age..anyway it's a good excuse.

And the guards would never know if the acohol carrier was one of thosepaid informers checking to see if they were doing their job correctly.

That IS a pretty looking club sammich! I have always enjoyed club sandwiches, but never make them at home for some reason. I have very fond memories of being a kid and going to the lunch counter at McCrory's with my Mom for a club sandwich and a chocolate coke. Good stuff.

Dave, good to see someone else likes chocolate cokes...my friends think I'm nuts.
