Does any now if the cable modem they provide has multiple outputs (doubles as a wired router)? They usually have two to four ports avail.
The unit I had a few weeks ago did not also serve as a router. It only had the one output.

You get a cable modem from the Meadows and connect it in your camper using the splitter they provide. I usually do it behind the tv. That gives you wired internet. Then, if you want, you can bring a wireless router to connect to that to have WiFi. I have a $13 one that I use just for travel. That way, if I forget it, no big deal.
Enjoy your trip!

Meh. They're fine, but never very puffy and light. I definitely prefer the almond pretzel.

Thanks for all the info everyone!
How much were the cabins Brent?
Seems like I told Lorna the ones with a bathroom were $180ish/night.

I will say this...
I approve of charging stations. It's 2013, afterall. I don't use my phone all the time like a lot of people I know, but the battery does die quick in the parks. It's probably network congestion causing it. It constantly is trying to download emails or other data-hungry apps are hanging since there are tens of thousands of phones using one tower. Can I live without it? Maybe. Would I want to be without it? Not a chance... especially if I'm staying off property and have to drive back.
Do I approve of the iPad wielding tourists? No. Not at all.

Great report! You were more impressed with Carowinds than I was last summer.
Glad to see a cg review. I've seen the signs and always wondered what it was like. I may have to check it out sometime since it's a quick drive.

Still thinking about this one......may come stay in a cabin if there are any still available.
Can you local fiends give me a feel for things to do in that area?
Of course, I could just sit around the fire-pit with fiends all day and night, but we will probably want to do some quick day trips and take in some sights during the day too.
I checked the cabins... Yeah, it would be cheaper to buy an RV I think. Lol. I still may try to go, though.

It's a great show and you don't want to sit too close to the stage. If you have netflix, they have a video of the show... and if you look closely you can see my face all up in it... haha

Depending on your data plan, you could always just stream the music from the Mouseworld Radio app on your phone in the car.

I just can't see how this won't be a huge expense for them and more trouble than it's worth. Seems like it would be easier to change the mug design every 6mos-1year...

The calliope was playing, but not that loudly. You could hear it, but the pre-parade music was so loud it was hard to pick out the tune. When it passed on the other end of Main Street you could hear it better. It was playing "When you Wish Upon a Star"

Isn't this story old? I remember reading it this time last year. Or I may have dreamed it.

For those of you at the Fort now who haven't wandered down by the marina recently, boat traffic will be halted from 8:20 to 9:30 "due to special event activities"
Saw the sign. And the boats were running at 9. No idea what that was about.

Be sure to stop and say hi when you get here. Lots of us around, but the crazy weather has people inside hiding from the rain.

I can confirm that they're really good. Don't share, though. You'll end up fighting over them. I had those and what they consider a side salad for my meal there a few weeks ago. It was a ton of food.

Just to clarify the citronella candle question... they sell them in the trading post, so they must be ok with them.
-
Not at all. It was going to take me a while to get back to the Fort, then the site, then make a drink and then get online.
-
My guess would the the cafeteria in casting?

Thanks for posting, Jason.

If you have awning lights, those are about all you'll need unless you want to read or something that requires bright light. I prefer to keep it dim so bugs aren't attracted.

Does quoting a movie from 98 make me old on this board?
If so, I guess i need to apply for my AMAC membership.
I think he meant most of the Fiends are older....I will probably catch heck for that one.
Hey hey hey! Only Lou was around when the Mayflower sailed.
I simply meant that was 15 years ago and isn't one of those movies that everyone has a copy of.

1) I want no part of soggy bread and meat "sandwiches."
2) I immediately got the quote, but figured most Fiends wouldn't have seen that one. What was that, '98?

I use the candles, but they don't do much. The Off Lanterns that Jason mentioned are absolutely fantastic.

Great update. I was in Fresno for business in the fall and drove over to Yosemite one morning. It's absolutely breathtaking. I definitely wasn't prepared for the views.

They definitely sell just the sides. And like Dave said, in two sizes. I don't know the exact prices, but a large one couldn't have been more than $4.
