Oh I know he was wrong.  Check in is at 1 he said but they were not considered late until 3 PM.  He was just wanting me to go away.  Just saying it does not surprise me that they are now claiming the 3 PM check in time.  Wonder if that guy will now think they have until 5 PM before they are late.  

On our last trip we checked in Halloween Day 2015. I knew it was a long shot be we arrived about 9 am and they had us park in the field by the hitch / unhitch area to wait.  At about 2:15 I went up to the front desk to complain about not getting our site yet.  I was told by the supposed FD manager on duty that check in for the campsites was not until  3 PM. They always tried to get people in earlier but they were not late until after 3.  We got a text with our site number as we walked back to the truck.  

I liked it a lot.  Have to think it will  be much more impressive in person.   Don't understand why this show gave them so much trouble.  There must have been much more to the show than what was on the video.  I hope I get to see it in person sometime.   

I would love to see Dennis DeYoung, Little River Band, and ELO.  Disney may have sucked me into another AP if I was still in Florida. 

BIG thumbs up  on removing the creepy floating heads.   I always thought that was a strange choice of decor.   Only thing I could figure was that was there way of keeping guest from hanging around and taking up tables after eating.  

I can see the value in this service not only faster transportation but saves a ton of walking and I am assuming since you come and go from inside the park no bag checks?  But what a slap in the face to passholders to have to pay $15 a day.  They give a break to the people that pay for 2 to 10 days but no break for people that pay for hundreds of days and probably go less than 30 days.

The prices at the TP are a community service action to teach preparedness which Disney no doubt is able to take some kind of a write off.  DAW  (Disney Always Wins) copyrighted credit to TCD  personally I don't mind Disney always winning.  I just hate that it is always a landslide victory.

I'm in!  Our first trip in our new camper in 2001 was 10 days in site 1307.  We really liked the site. we could walk out the side to the 1600 BS or go the other way to the 1300BS.  Back then they had a nice playground with tire swing and slide.  We got so much free ice from that machine from people not being ready for the ice and just leaving.  Plus it was a very generous machine, even when you were ready with the bag it would overflow.  

I unplugged the crock pot, left it on the table outside the camper and headed to bed

I agree I think the holiday castle is breathtaking.  I just wish they could figure out how to do it without weeks of having the ugly crane spoiling the castle view. Thanks for the link. 

They did a great job replicating the camper from the artwork they sell at the fort. 

Guess I can't argue with the results.  But there were a lot of great carts this year.  Loved the Gostbusters cart with the guy walking along.  The 2 carts a Jeep and small travel trailer were very well done.  Several others looked like the people had done a lot of work.  This was the best cart parade I can remember. 

Wow, that's nice of them.  Who said that?  Will be anxious to hear how T or T goes this year.

Yea we always treat eating off a picnic table about the same as eating off the ground it sits on.   Birds, squirrels, and every other type of wild life around has used it for whatever they chose too.  A good wipe down and a clean tablecloth for us.  

That's got to be the same fire.  Like you say they are burning scavenged Wood in what looks like a brand new fire pit.  If that were me they would have the police there to cart me off property.    

Even if they are not able to do the text for everyone it will help the people who do have to go to check in with shorter lines.  

Looks pretty cool.  I hope they do enough shows to keep the crowds manageable.  With Osborn lights being on all night it helped spread the crowd out some. 

I would love that but we never had it happen.  Sounds like your trip is off to a great start.

That was great.  A few comments

I would have given almost anything to see and meet  Walt in the park.

Noticed how well most of the guest were dressed as well.  Lots of men is dress shirts and ties and lots of hats not baseball caps. 

They managed to make the castle look a lot bigger than it is. 

Did you see people smoking anywhere they want? 

That was the year I was born so it was neat see how things were.

I totally believe that.  I think the further out the loop you are in is from the Settlement, the fewer kids you get.  I'd imagine the 2000 loop gets pretty much just the kids staying on it.  And those hard-core candy kids. 

We have been on 2000 loop 2-3 times for Halloween and it wasn't bad at all. Last year we were on the first site you come to as you enter 1700 and it was scary crazy. Granted last Halloween was on Saturday so that didn't help. But I much preferred our experience Halloween night on the 2000 loop.  But the rest of the say on 1700 was great.
