We have been there for several Halloween nights. Every one has been insane.
But, I'd go again if the dates worked out- freeloaders and all.
Disney always wins.

We have been there many Halloweens as well and every year it gets gets worse. Granted last year was on a Saturday which contributed to the madness but it was not fun at all for us. From now on we will try to go the week leading up to Halloween and leave before "the" day.

We were there last year and it will be our last. It was insane.

A good Family Raft Ride is so overdue at TL. The one they have now is a joke. It is just there so they can try and sell pictures. Love FRR at BB. I hope this new one can compare.

Thank you, I feel so much better about myself now.

It is shocking that the people at Disney would recommend walking between resorts. Not only is it dangerous, but what I would have thought they would object to is how long you will be without options to spend money. I would expect it to send you through every shop and restaurant within 1/2 mile of your route. It is truly amazing how unDisney the My Disney Experience is.

You should have flashed your FortFiend press credentials. Wow Two fourth of July fireworks on one day. You regularly pack more into a Disney trip than anyone I have ever heard of.

Great report... Your check-in debacle happened to us too. We went to our assigned loop and the only empty spot was right across from the CS which we had requested to be near. It was 10:30 and no one on the loop was packing up. I backed into the site and went to the CS to call up front. They said our spot was not ready and we couldn't have that site. So we waited. The site was almost dry when we got there so I figured that it had just not been reported ready. So we waited and waited. At 1PM I went back to CS and called again. As fate would have they were just fixing to call with our site number, for you guessed it, the site we had been sitting on for over 2 hours. An hour later sitting under the awning in front of a fan with a cold one in my hand all was forgotten.

The fence along the big canal is going to be a nightmare for the ground keepers. Unless they kill the grass along the fence line that is going to be a lot of weed wacking. Won't that be nice to wake up to on the 1500 and 1800 loops.

When we first moved to Florida we lived on Lake Tarpon, a large lake in Pinellas county. We saw gators every day. There was a lady that lived on the lake that fed the gators chicken legs from her dock. She had them take the food right out of her hand until one got confused where the food stopped and her hand began. She made a big one handed fuss when the Florida wildlife people came trapped and then killed her "pet."

I prefer Publix. Something else to keep in mind there is no sales tax on unprepared food in Florida. In some places that alone will save you some money.

I love Crocs and have almost exclusively wore them for the last 6 years or so. But I agree when the bottom tread wears off they can be very slippery on smooth surfaces. I also have trouble when my feet get wet and have to walk up and down the many places at WDW where there are hills or ramps. I have broken more than one pair by having my foot slide out of a wet shoe while on a ramp. Now that I live in east Tennessee, when the wet Fall and Winter months come around I will have to find some other outdoor footwear. But I do have a fur lined pair of Cros for inside.

Well, that "glass" of wine looked to be a true pour of what you get just not in that nice glass. If I should ever dare to give the DW a glass filled like that I had better be holding the bottle pending her approval.

In the story I posted about No Fishing it says they are hanging netting on the fences.
-
Did ya'll notice if you follow that link it also said they are hanging netting on the new fences they put up. I am guessing it's just like what is on the dock.

From The Orlando Sentinel
"No fishing" signs have been erected at areas including Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, the Fort Wilderness campground and Old Key West Resort. Fishing is now forbidden at Disney World unless it is part of an excursion.

So no more fireworks viewing from any of the beaches? That stinks.

Wow, now I remember why we always skipped Maelstrom. That and the long wait to exit if the movie had just started. I will definitely give Disney an attaboy for this update.

Lucky for the car following that pop up did not have A/C. Would have been a much bigger jolt going over the top.

I'm in!! This should be great. WOW 21 That's a Big Deal now a days

I bet the 12 o'clock decoration rule has more to do with keeping the late night bookings for the hay/carriage/sled rides.

Wow look how thick the "wilderness" is around that site and all that shade. And what's that I see, an open flame tiki tourch.
