We have been there for several Halloween nights.  Every one has been insane.

But, I'd go again if the dates worked out- freeloaders and all.

    Disney always wins.

We have been there many Halloweens as well and every year it gets gets worse. Granted last year was on a Saturday which contributed to the madness but it was not fun at all for us.  From now on we will try to go the week leading up to Halloween and leave before "the" day.

  2. It is shocking that the people at Disney would recommend walking between resorts.  Not only is it dangerous, but what I would have thought they would  object to is how long you will be without options to spend money.  I would expect it to send you through every shop and restaurant within 1/2 mile of your route. It is truly amazing how unDisney the My Disney Experience is.

  3. Great report... Your check-in debacle happened to us too.   We went to our assigned loop and the only empty spot was right across from the CS which we had requested to be near.   It was 10:30 and no one on the loop was packing up.  I backed into the site and went to the CS to call up front.  They said our spot was not ready and we couldn't have that site.  So we waited. The site was almost dry when we got there so I figured that it had just not been reported ready. So we waited and waited. At 1PM I went back to CS and called again.  As fate would have they were just fixing to call with our site number, for you guessed it, the site we had been sitting on for over 2 hours.  An hour later sitting under the awning in front of a fan with a cold one in my hand all was forgotten.

  4. When we first moved to Florida we lived on Lake Tarpon, a large lake in Pinellas county.  We saw gators every day. There was a lady that lived on the lake that fed the gators chicken legs from her dock. She had them take the food right out of her hand until one got confused where the food stopped and her hand began.  She made a big one handed fuss when the Florida wildlife people came trapped and then killed her "pet."

  5. I love Crocs and have almost exclusively wore them for the last 6 years or so.  But I agree when the bottom tread wears off they can be very slippery on smooth surfaces.  I also have trouble when my feet get wet and have to walk up and down the many places at WDW where there are hills or ramps.  I have broken more than one pair by having my foot slide out of a wet shoe while on a ramp.  Now that I live in east Tennessee, when the wet Fall and Winter months come around I will have to find some other outdoor footwear.  But I do have a fur lined pair of Cros for inside.
