Well, I have some bad news.  I ran the calculations on my gas costs.  It turns out that without Doodle there with her bean dip, I am actually going to have to BUY my gas for the trip home.

I got you covered, Yvonne has requested I make my Bandito beans, being a good girl I do what I'm told, so you will have a ample supply of beans (aka gas) to get ya'll home...

I spent a week at the fort in a tent with 4 kids.. It was a AWESOME time, this is something you and your babies will cherish for a long time to come

I'll be sad if that's true, my kiddos always sleep in the tent behind the camper.. that's pull a damper on my plans for next thanks giving for sure..

it took me 3 years to find my perfect trailer, google Starcraft 16RB, it's lightweight and can sleep 7 if I need it to, I have found my older children still like their own tents so go figure.  It is designed for the "minivan" generation, I actually have a Nissan Armada I tow it with and have no issues but once My Armada dies I'd like to get a minivan with better gas mileage, check it out :)

Steve still needs to grease our axles or we need to purchase a new TV and camper.

Which coincidentally this Saturday we just happened to go looking at some used 5th wheels and larger travel trailers.

These are all things I need to learn about.. I will upgrade someday I'm sure, but right now I'm perfectly content with my little cracker box, by the time I figure out all the maintenance crap.. I should surely have at least one kid out of the house.. then who needs a bigger one?? :rofl2:

We'll be able to figure your heat out.  But let's hope you don't need it that weekend! 

 

Oh, and speaking of heat....I very rarely run my furnace, which is propane.  I have a couple of those little ceramic heaters, which instead of using my propane run off the campground's electricity.  If you have a propane furnace you might want to get one or two.

See this is why I need you people, getting a little portable ceramic type heater never crossed my mind, the roots run deep some days..

If I remember correctly it got COLD last year at night in the tents. 

My Izzy is jumping out of her skin to see her Fiend friends.

No worries Carol, I'm never packed right and my poor camper needs cleaned like I can't even describe right now, I'm hoping some of ya'll can help me figure out how to get the heat to work..lol  and the hot water would be nice.. the manuals are worthless and I've been banned from the dealership.. something about crazy eyes...

Hi Fiends!  Since I couldnt get into the Fort for new Years we have booked a week at this KOA, anyone been there?  Ya'll know I can't be that close to a bunch of fiends and not come visit.. and eat.. and drink..  :)

It looks pretty in the pictures and the reviews werent horrible, who cares I'll be in Florida right??!! :)

OMG OMG OMG, you can't imagine how much me and the kids are looking forward to this!! 

I did the 1st week of October a couple of years ago and it was PERFECT!  I was traveling with 5 little ones and we didnt wait long for anything.   I havent dont the Halloween party but I would love to and I can only guess during that time would be excellent as far as crowds go

that's awesome, I have played around with the idea of getting a old pop up and doing something with it.. I have no skill in this area but it has crossed my mind so I'd love to see what your doing :)

You aren't going to like this one bit, Dave. We had to cancel. Mike got called for jury duty and the time he has to serve is the same time as Defeated Creek. I will miss all you guys but count on me for next year.

 

BUT BUT BUT.. this is probably the only chance I'll get to see you this year!!!!!!!!       :grumpy2:

I was sorta kinda in the same boat, I ended up going with a Starcraft 16RB, it's slightly better (structurally) than a pop up and weighs about 3200 lbs, it's target audience is the minivan crowd, I simply LOVE it!! I can hook it up and tow it without any assistance, I can even back it up which is   HUGE accomplishment for me :)

Good Lord!!! I just had to get up and walk about for a moment, you grab little H for me and kiss those cheeks and tell him that EVERYONE is very proud of what a wonderful little man he is.. shew lawdy honey, my crazy eyes just came out. 

Note to self:  NO Carowinds for Judy, an incident like that would require me to acost a poor innocent person that was probalby not even in the park that day..

wow, that is excellent info!! That makes sense to me, the ones that charged inflated prices and a fee offended my sense of reason, but this.. this sounds lovely and extremly reasonable.  Let us know how it goes please!
