Lisa, or maybe it was Bruce, asked if there was a procedure that bus drivers use to request a time out when nature calls. After all, the driving time without a break can be as long as 4-1/2 hours.
The answer was yes, and if you ride the buses, you may have heard it.
At the resort after guests have boarded and the bus is ready to return to the park, the driver will contact the dispatcher on the radio and request a "quick 10-7".
It should be requested at that time so that the next run is not sent to the on-board terminal.

Im so glad I posted here - I had no idea there were other full timers with kids onboard - I will definately be in touch with questions. Both my husband and I read a book on the subject today - still excited about it - so inspired by all the blogs we are finding online. Lots more research and planning to be done - but I dont see us turning back now - my mentality about everything is already shifting.

I enjoy looking at photos from the Fort.
But, I really enjoy looking at photos that make me say: "What The Fort?"
So, I thought there could be a new thread here in the Photos From the Fort section dedicated to photos that make you scratch your head and say "What The Fort?"
And since I started this thread, I'll make the rules. I think we only need two:
1. The photo has to be taken at the Fort;
and
2. It has to make you say WTF?
I'll start with one from the TCD archives.
I hope others will contribute their favorite WTF? photos.
It might end up being a fun thread.
So, here we go.
This photo was taken on the 1400 loop one day back in 2008.
I have no idea what this guy was doing, but he was riding around the loop on one of those weird skateboards dressed in tights, Sponge Bob boxers, a cape, and a Loyal Order of Water Buffaloes hat:

I agree that it does look like a mickey head that was stepped on an peed itself.

Seeing that I'll be getting a portion of that pile anyway, let's cut out the middle man and just give it directly to me. It's much more efficient that way. Disney will appreciate it. And don't worry, you can count on me to give them their share.
Let's see, bus drivers get paid $35/hr, ya, I know, we're under paid, and I work at least 70 hrs. a week, so just send me half of the pile. In fact, I'll save you the trouble of shipping it seeing that you'll be at Fort.

That is the most hilarious thing I've seen today. Talking and walking is a safety hazard? Two people walking past each other: "Good morning, George." "Good morning, Susa...whoa! Whoops!" (falls)
