  1. Throw away the flavor packet and any dehydrated veggies they come with.

Cook the noodles as you normally would

Mix together 1 tspn peanut butter, 1tsp honey, 1/2 tsp soy sauce and add Srirancha sauce to taste.

Thai noodles in spicy peanut sauce!!!!

That actually sounds really good. I need to try that recipe. Thanks

  2. I have another suggestion. Get a GAG, eat on the porch at Trails End, and watch the fireworks and EWP from the beach. DW might not be impressed, but think of the money you'll have left over for beer! :rofl3:

Yes!!! Extra beer money! We actual plan on the fried chicken dinner on the boat dock to watch the fireworks also but we aren't sure if they allow people on the dock after dark.

  3. Ok we are coming to the Fort for our first time this Christmas, 2012. Our wedding anniversary is the the 31st of December and wanted to do something special for my DW. We had talked about going to the California Grill but still have not been there. I heard its very hard and very expensive, over $500 per person, to get reservations on New Years Eve. Besides we have a DD7 that will be with us and doesn't stay up much past 9:00 pm. So I thought we could have dinner and watch the fireworks show on a different night. I also heard there is an outside viewing deck so if we can't get a rez during the fireworks we can still watch them from the outside deck. Ok that was a lot said to ask a simple question. When does the schedule come out showing the Fireworks schedule at the MK? How do I get a table next to a window facing MK? Do i get there an hour early? I JUST WANT TO MAKE THIS NIGHT SPECIAL FOR MY DW. I know I have to make my ADRs 180 days in advance, which i've never done, but is it better to call disney direct or book it at midnight? It's just to much planning for someone who doesn't plan anything ever. Heck if it wasn't for Judy and Donnie we wouldn't be able to goto the Fort for Christmas at all. lol

Now, I have read enough of the posts about some of you and your charts and graphs that i'm sure at least one of you has done what I want to do and can tell me how to get this done.

Thanks a lot from a confused, lazy, newbie Fiend.

  4. Grilled Beer Brats

    4 Beers

    1 Pack Hogie rolls

    1 large onion

    Spicy Mustard

1 pack Frozen Johnsonville Bratwurst ( I prefer the uncooked ones)

Pour the beers in a pot and start to heat. Cut onion in to quartes and place in the pot. Add the Brats and cook until they are cooked through. While the brats are cooking fire up the grill. when the brats are done in the beer bath place them on the grill and grill 4-5 minutes a side. Serve them up on a bun with the mustard and some of the onion from the beer bath.

I have a similar recipe but it calls for 6 beers.

After adding 4 beers open fifth beer and drink

Then when grilling brats drink sixth beer

  5. A little something we do all the time while camping.

I always make beer butt chicken for myself, DW, and DD

We usually only eat one chicken but I always make two. The next day I take the extra chicken shred all the meet up in a saucepan and then add BBQ sauce and heat till it's hot and make BBQ chix sandwiches. This also works with left over roast beef or pork.

  6. Hobo supper.

Foil bag filled with butter, any smoked sausage, sliced, butter, potatoes cubes, butter, chopped onion, butter, chopped bell pepper, butter, carrots , butter, and seasoned salt, with butter.

Put on grill for about 20-30 minutes until taters are tender. You add or subtract any root type veggie. You can add just about anything you like. The juices from the sausage, the butter, mix with the seasoned salt and veggies and make it oh so good.

Oh if you happen to have bacon throw that in also.

It's a pretty easy meal and it's low fat and low calorie. The butter cooks out all the calories and fat.

Tip cut the taters smaller then the other softer veggies because taters take longer to cook.

  7. We use Disney's Magical Express most times we come WDW. However, this time we are flying into Tampa staying 3 nights getting a rental car driving to the Fort, dropping off the car. We don't need it for 8 days. Then renting Donnie's 5th wheel for a week and hopefully taking magical express to Orlando airport. My question is, does the Magical Express go to and from the Fort? And if it does, does it pick us up at our camp site or where do we catch it?

    Thanks

PS. Sorry I used the MAGICAL word so much. Lol
