My 17 year old beagle Dora has back issues and has trouble getting up to a standing position. Her back right leg is so weak. She's also on meds for congestive heart failure. I was about ready to "make the decision" last week; but, she's doing better now. We went camping last week end and she seemed to enjoy herself. She smiled, wagged her tail and perked her ears up. I hate to see her in pain and I don't want to use the cost of the medication as a reason to put her down. She's a good old dog.
I know what you are going through Judy. Buster had congestive heart failure, he was only 6. The vet said it was genetic and a breeding issue. The breeder said it wasn't. However my friend also had 2 chihuahuas from the same breeder with the same problem.
Having him put down was the hardest thing I have ever had to do. He was the best dog in the world.

Pass the tissues please. We just put down one of chihuahuas (Buster) last September. Thank God 6 year olds can put it all in perspective. :rofl2:

We will be on a cruise on March 21st. I may just have time to pop in for a little F&G :rofl2:

I like Mexico. Every time I go I find something new in the market

If Le Cellier is a signature restaurant, then McDonalds must be considered fine dining.
LeCellier is an over-priced Logan's Steakhouse, if you ask me.
I agree, and for those prices they should be cutting my steak and feeding it to me. We are spending less money every year at Disney restaurants. I don't need an experience when I eat just value and quality for my money

Just a suggestion:
This is an open web forum, and anyone with an internet connection can read it. I would suggest that any specific information you have (such as specific information about where you live), that you want to give to the group, be sent by PM. The discussion is great, and one of the reasons that Jen and Chris started the site, but be careful about what information you give out on the web.
Just my 2 cents.
Rob you are so right and thank you for the reminder. When we start nailing things down we should definitely be PMing each other.

I usually do online, but usually have to call anyways to modify. Both are a PITA!
I do the same thing. As a matter of fact I was on the phone with Disney music for 20 minutes last week. Never did talk to anyone, got frustrated and hung up. All I wanted to do was add an extra day to our November trip. Great big PITA.
I will be calling Rhonda for my next trip, she is a sweetheart.

I just looked at the Cedar Point site and checked some prices. The weekend of May 14th-15th
Full hook-up pull thru $166 or $218 with a one day ticket.
Full hook-up back-in $156 or $208 with a one day ticket
pull-thru electric only $126 or $178
back-in electric only $110 or $162
some food for thought

Hold It !!
You actually get a refund?
I just enjoy paper filing on April 15th, using staples and not getting all the forms in order.
I love the defiance! I just never thought of that, now I'm gonna do that too!
Hell we are just happy if what we have to pay in is under $1000 :rofl2:

Looks like Cedar Point is the place to meet  Now any ideas on a date? We are very flexible so let's throw some dates out there and see what we can come up with. :rofl2:

I'm from Waterford, MI about an hour north of Detroit.
I'm not sure what we're doing as far as any more camping goes. We have a bit reserved already. But I'll keep an eye on this. I KNOW I can get my dh to go if it's Cedar Point.
I grew up in and work in Waterford.
See it is a small world. All together now ... it' a world of :rofl2:

Gallon size zip lock bags! I use them for everything, even keeping tadpoles alive. I also must have peanut m & m's.
Are the tadpoles better tasting if they are alive???
Naw, Some potions require live tad poles. What were you thinking?? :rofl2:
That's right along with eye of newt, never leave home without it :rofl2:

i know more southern Indiana past Bloomington areas to camp.....Are we talking Northern IN?
I've camped at Cedar Point and also a KOA in Sandusky.....?
I guess at this point we need to figure out who would be interested in doing this. Then decide on a campground and a time.
I don't have a problem with meeting in any of the three States, I don't know very many campgrounds in Southern Michigan and have only camped at Cedar Point in Ohio. Have no clue what there is for camping in Indiana.
I do think it would be a great opportunity for some of Northern folk to meet :bravo:

I'm in Battle Creek Michigan !
I love Battle Creek :parrot:

Indiana baby!!!! I am 30 minutes south of Indianapolis!
I feel like I can call Indiana my home too. We spend a lot of time there. Elkhart area the most but also South Bend, Fort Wayne, Goshen, and a little town west of Indianapolis that I can't remember the name of right now. Basically anywhere in Indiana that either sells trailers or trailer parts we've been there. :parrot:
I have never camped there yet so maybe you have some ideas?
-
I'm from Chillicothe, Ohio...about 40 miles South of Columbus!
Meet and greet would be nice!
I'm in TX now but grew up in Lancaster, OH... east of Campingmommy. My family is still all there.
Then I think you should join us. Once a mid-westerner always a mid-westerner :parrot:

I can't resist a political comment...probably out of place....Add Wisconsin and invite all the area Democrat Senators. :parrot:  Sort of a Meet and greet and Hide Out?
 Ya but if we invited Wisconsin we probably couldn't get a forum to decide on where to meet :rofl2: :rofl2:
Seriously though Wisconsin and Illinois, you people are close enough that we should be able to find someplace that wouldn't be a hardship for a bunch of us to get to.
Especially if we could find a place in northern Indiana

Cedar Point is nice and would be great for those of you who have kids at home yet.I usually camp in Northern Michigan, Florida or South Carolina and am not really familiar with what else is in our area. Hopefully we have some other Fiends who have more experience with what is in our area. :parrot:
-
I thought if we could find a campground centrally located we could try for something this Spring or Summer. Any ideas? :parrot:
-
I live in Bay City, Michigan and was wondering who else was in the tr-state area. Thought maybe we could plan a meet and greet :parrot:
Any Canadian Fiends we want you too

I just got my Kindle last week , so I am still learning the ins and outs..I am currently reading "A promise to remember" by Kathryn Cushman. It is one of the freebies. I imagine if I stayed off this site a little longer I just might get to finishing the book LOL!.
It's a tough choice some days. Nook or laptop. the laptop usually wins

Glad you got your dates :siren:
