Everyone who has ever loved and lost a pet knows how emotionally difficult it can be.
Please use this thread to memorialize your beloved fur babies.
By the edge of a woods, at the foot of a hill,
Is a lush, green meadow where time stands still.
Where the friends of man and woman do run,
When their time on earth is over and done.
For here, between this world and the next,
Is a place where each beloved creature finds rest.
On this golden land, they wait and they play,
Till the Rainbow Bridge they cross over one day.
No more do they suffer, in pain or in sadness,
For here they are whole, their lives filled with gladness.
Their limbs are restored, their health renewed,
Their bodies have healed, with strength imbued.
They romp through the grass, without even a care,
Until one day they start, and sniff at the air.
All ears prick forward, eyes dart front and back,
Then all of a sudden, one breaks from the pack.
For just at that instant, their eyes have met;
Together again, both person and pet.
So they run to each other, these friends from long past,
The time of their parting is over at last.
The sadness they felt while they were apart,
Has turned into joy once more in each heart.
They embrace with a love that will last forever,
And then, side-by-side, they cross over? together.
Now I am crying.
We lost Buster our 6 year old chihuahua last September, from congestive heart failure.
He was the best dog in the world. Acted like the little mother to all the other pups and smart as a whip.

too tacky
I'm sorry- I am not familiar with this expression. Can someone explain it to me please?
I always thought it was when glue wasn't quite dry

The only time it got to me was when FWGirl and I got fastpasses before we got in the regular line. Riding twice in a row was a little much for us. Had to sit on a bench for a while.
Once was plenty for me. I would ride again but never twice in a row.

Little River Casino Resort and Campground. Yes I have a vice :wiz:
It is a beautiful campground in Manistee, Mi. It has 95 sites all concrete pads. About half of them are full hook-up. They all have water. electric and cable tv. They also have pull-thru and back-in sites, plus all the amenities you would need.
Rates for 2010 were $30 full hook-up
$20 for partial
They also have AARP, AAA and Players Club discounts. And to top it all off a frequent camper program stay 5 get 1 free. We have taken advantage of this many times
Manistee is a beautiful area of Michigan so if you are ever up here check it out. You won't regret it :)

Isn't there a phone number you can purchase anything at Disney?? Think I remember a post to that effect, but dont remember if it was here. :-\
407-363-6200 is the WDW mail order number. You need to be specific as to exactly what you want.
Right the m ore detail the better. And it's also good if you can tell them where you saw it.
I also found this-www.mail.order.@disneyworld,com hope it helps.
Well that was useless. it took me to WDW homepage.

If I remember correctly they were about $26 apiece.
Thanks Lisa :rofl2: Now I will definitely stop in to the Fort when I am down, I think it's a great service that Disney offers with there phone orders but if I can save on shipping I do that. yes I am cheap :)
I think I found the number on AllEars

Well you don't want them to piss off the Fan Police, do ya?
I guess the S@*# would really hit the fan then :)
That would really be pissing into the wind :rofl2:

TJ, I know there is a number to call. I called it to order cross stitch kits a few years ago, and it's a nice option but the shipping was a killer. I can't remember the exact cost but I do remember thinking I would never do that again.
Since I will be driving though that way I figured I would just drop in at the Fort and get a fix :rofl2:

I used to LOVE counted cross stitch. However, I think the last project I did was my youngest son's birthdate sampler (and he will be 24 in October)
I guess it has been awhile :rofl2: I haul mine out every now and then but I don't work at it as lon as I used to :)
I will get this one finished though.

Saw them at the Settlement this weekend. They say they do fade in the sunlight, but you could spray paint them purple.
Lorna, do you know how much they were? I will staying over night at AllStarsMo on March 20th. I just might hop over there and pick up a couple :rofl2:

It makes me a little sad because I have done so many beautiful things, and have so many more waiting to be finished or started.
There was a time that when I had no less than 3 projects going at the same time. I think today I will pick up my latest project and do some work on it :welcome2:

Totally depends on the time of year and weather. If there's even a hint of anything in the area, we take it in.
I've seen pics of what happens when one of those crazy FL storms kicks up and twists up an awning like tin foil.
:dropjaw:
We do the same thing, haven't lost one yet but have replaced many over the years for our customers.

Not sure if any of the reported "renovations" :kickinass: will be going on by then, which may make a difference in which loop you prefer, but I am sure any and all changes will be reported in detail, so most likely you will be able to make a decision that is best for you. We have been in the preferred loops in the past but on our next trip we think we were going to recommend the 1400 loop to try something new .
Thanks. I just re-booked our trip. Long story, married kids financial difficulties, anyway I'm thinking when it gets closer I will fax a request for 500. We have stayed in that loop several times.
We were in the 1400 loop once but I don't think that is a pet loop is it? We were there without the dogs on that trip.

I am sure a lot of people with disagree with me but my least favorite ride is 'Space Mountain'. One week after Space Mountain opened for the first time many years ago my wife and I rode it. Believe me, I do not do well on fast roller coaster rides in the dark! I have tried it again a few times since that first experience and my head and stomach still can't handle the motion! But my wife, children and grandchildren love it! I will continue to be happy to just sit and wait for them to finish the ride and that way I am not sick the rest of the day!
I don't do Space Mountain either. It does something to my neck that gives me a headache for the rest of the day.

Does anyone else miss Tarzan Rocks. I loved that show. :rofl2:

I agree, we generally try to avoid parades for the exact reason you mention. If we want to catch the parade, we try to find spots in Frontierland. We got a good spot by Pecos Bills for MSEP about 1/2 hour before the parade started and we were able to grab some food/snacks while we waited.
That's our favorite spot too. There is a ledge to sit on and nobody can get in front of you unless they want to be part of the parade :rofl2:

All the attractions listed are on the 'Skip List' but no one has mentioned the Tomorrowland Speedway. A long wait, noxious fumes and a case of whiplash. The kids do love it though so I am not able to skip it.
I was so happy when my kids finally outgrew Tomorrowland Speedway. :rofl2: Now I have grandchildren and you just know what their favorite rid is don't you :rofl2: Oh well anything for the grandbabies.

How to get the best deal at rv show?

My husband always says the best way for him to negotiate is to leave me at home. Apparently the dealers can tell when I really want something. :bighug:
Seriously though do your homework, visit all the dealers and don't be afraid to pit dealer against dealer.
