I'm heading north this afternoon, we're going camping for the long weekend at South Toledo Bend State Park. It sounds like it will be nice and cold but that's ok with us.
WBI
Good luck staying warm. It is going to be very cold, but at least the campground there is blocked from the wind coming straight down the lake, a little.

Does the 3 extra passes include 1 top tier ride or 3 top tier rides? It would be an easier pill to swallow if it included 3 top tier rides and let you get them 70 days out instead of 60 days. That would sell like Main Street Cinnamon Rolls!

Our only option here is a Sam's and we love it, good tire deals among other things. I think my wife likes it because she'll tell me she's buying groceries or toilet paper but slips some clothes in there too. When all you see is Sam's club on the credit card statement there's no way of knowing what was purchased. lol
Plus they have the cheapest gas around.

I thought you lived close to Lafayette. If so, there is a Costco there now. Been open for 6 months or more. There is also a Costco in Baton Rouge.

I wonder what manatees taste like?
About like seal, walrus, and whale. Greasy.

The other route is to go from Birmingham to Memphis but I-40 across Arkansas makes I-10 across Louisiana appear smooth.
-
I would recommend I-20 to US 287 to I-40 in Amarillo. Dallas/Ft. Worth is the only trouble area. There is a way around if you get off I-20 and go north a little before you get to Tyler. There is a great and cheap campground at Witchita Falls run by the city with a view of the falls. The meteor site is not much and located in the middle of nowhere so I would not plan my trip around it. All the tourist signs about seeing the "Thing" is just an old Volkswagen so don't get caught by that one.

Condolences.......
To bad GA took lessons from Ole Miss on how to lose a lead and a game.

I don't think that's very considerate of the guests staying on the 100 loop.
Guests aren't supposed to use their cars to drive around the Fort.
TCD
It is still a safer option than dropping someone off at the intersection and it gets them closer to the settlement. Like I said, "If you have to".

I meant to comment on this and add that I've seen folks attempt to load and unload guests at the Settlement intersection, and it is a VERY dangerous situation. There is no safe place for guests to stop there, and doing so creates a problem for all others at that busy intersection. DON'T DO IT.
TCD
If you just have to drop someone off, drive around the 100 loop and let them out just before the first cabin. This puts you out of traffic and closer to the settlement.

Congrats to UGA. I know Kelly is happy!

I thought this episode would answer a few questions but it did not and I left with even more questions. I think there was too much humor and it was misplaced at times. Overall it was a good movie and did not feel like 2.5 hours so it flowed well.
-
Who in their right mind would want to coach where the boosters and fans have taken control? That is exactly why A&M did what they did. Tennessee is definitely a Hostile environment right now.
-
Congrats Kelly, sorry Carrol.

Looks like we finally find out our sentence from the NCAA tomorrow. It may not be too bad for Ole Miss, since it will be buried in all the championship Hype for the weekend. This has been looming for so long now.
-
So, TCD, what are your thoughts on stealing Mullins away from MSU?
I am not pleased with UM's decision to hire Luke. Depending on what is released this week from the NCAA, it may be a short term hire to get through the penalty period. Either way, he has a lot to learn as he made some disastrous mistakes this season.
Kelly, can your dog's take advantage of all the injuries that have hit Auburn since your last meeting?
And did anyone see the Ole Miss player marking his territory at Mississippi State? I went off when that happened. That kind of crap will change a game and make you lose! That was idiotic to say the least.
Forgot....Hotty Toddy....we won the Egg Bowl!

Here is a picture with it cross loaded.

I have done it 3 different ways. On the back of the tow vehicle, cross loaded, that always draws a crowd when I unload. Towing a small utility trailer behind the 5th wheel, which made for a nerve racking drive worrying about being pulled over for breaking the low by double towing. Finally the best way, in the back of our Toy hauler, bought to not have to worry about double towing again.

Looks like the search for a new head coach is going to be tough now that is appears 4 SEC teams will be looking to hire a new head coach. Which one will be the next to fall? Florida or Arkansas?
Kelly, I think your team showed how young they are. They allowed the hype to lull them into a false sense of security so that they lost focus and a seasoned coach was able to get his team focused. If they meet again in Atlanta, I predict the result will be quite different.
-
Kelly......What happened?
TCD, I'll ask again...Hurricanes any good? and your Gators almost tried.
It looks more and more like the SEC has succeeded in beating itself out of contention for a championship, to the pleasure of the rest of the NCAA.

This year was rather quiet. Being a Tuesday Night played a big part in that, I believe. The most rowdy Halloween's are the ones that fall on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday night. At first look for this year, it appeared that the Fort management tried to downplay "Camp-or-Treat" as they named it, this year. But then on Halloween night they closed down the main road, Fort Wilderness Trail, from the intersection with Peacock Pass to the 4 way stop at Frontier Way and Big Pine Trail to turn the small meadow at the Hitch/Unhitch area into a parking area complete with porta-pottys and a hand washing station. They then laid out tape arrows on the roads to try and direct the flow of "Camp-or-Treators" through the various loops. We were in the 1700 loop and saw an estimated 400-500 kids this year. 2 years ago we saw over 1,000 kids in the 500 loop with that being a Saturday night. We sat out last year and missed it so much that we made sure to go back this year and will be there again next year as well. Come on and have fun and don't let a few rowdies scare you away.

If I'm in the one you're giving condolences to Spec, please don't. My Dawgs are undefeated!
This weekend is a perfect example that anything can happen though!
Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkSorry. It has been a tough week at work. I meant that to be for Jen.

Boy, it has been a busy week for me. Condolences to both Kelly and TCD. That LSWho upset was a shocker as well as A&M putting down the Gata's. I was surprised and somewhat delighted that The Commodores fared so badly. Before this past saturday I was thinking that Ole Miss might.....very big on the might...stand a chance against LSWho, but those thoughts are out the window now. There is no way our defense stands a chance against that running force that LSWho has.
The Ohio State husk the huskers and The Sooners looked to be back on track. I see Miami squeaked it out against the Yellow Jackets.
I agree with TCD. The television ratings will drive who will be in the final four for the playoffs. I think in the near future, they will go to an 8 team playoff, taking the division champions from the top 5 conferences and the 3 top rated teams not conference champions.
