  1. I guess I have all those anxiety playgrounds to look forward to when W is a little bigger. Great.....

    WBI

Anxiety playground. That is exactly what that one is. And on a hot muggy day, it gets the greenhouse effect. Soooo humid. And the kids get wet dirty. That's even worse than just regular dirty. And you can't see them. Which means you also have to crawl through. Which is nearly impossible. And painful. And now YOU are wet dirty. Which is even worse than your kid being wet dirty.

  2. When the Troll is right, he's right. Sofia's fake hands and giant head are creepy.

What Troll may not know is that Sofia is the FIRST "child princess". Big time stuff. My dd was just the right age when she was introduced. Hence the fake head. College girl in a dress just wasnt going to cut it. And I guarantee you they put the giant head on a college girl, took one look at her real arms, and said "Well, that's not gonna work". So in come the fake arms. Snowball effect at its worst. Or best. However you wanna look at it. When dd met her in a matching dress at age 6, it was magical. Fake arms and all.

That said, it totally creeped me out. Up close in person, it's super weird.

  3. Wow! Rider switch for kids who are scared. Never would have thought of that! We used to use it all the time when dd was too little, but now she's just too chicken and we didnt think to rider switch. Ill march her up to the gate all day long and coaster shame her if it gets me free rides.

Although now we have an actual baby, so I guess we will just use him instead

  4. The dancers... are they clogging? I want to cover the dancers a little (the older I get... and the older my daughter gets... the more modest I become  ), but I think clogging is so, so neat!! I bet it's amazing exercise!

Nacole, those are their hard shoes. In Irish dancing, there are hard shoe dances and soft shoe dances. And you are right, excellent exercise!!

Kelly, so glad you had fun! It's an amazing place. Atmosphere, entertainment, food, for me, can't get any better. Thanks for sharing!

  5. Doesn't change my mind at all. Bus...even better.

545...enjoy your table and stay for the show at 7.

Here's the deal though. Tables in the dancing room, stage room, main room, whatever you want to call it, are pretty much reserved for people with reservations. You have a reservation. When you check in, make sure you verbally tell them you'd like a table in that room. It's two different experiences and since you are planning ahead, you get experience #1. :)

If you can push that reservation to later, like 630-645, that wouldn't be a bad idea. 7 is when things really get good. But 545 isn't bad. Just wait for a table in the main room and stay put for the show.

  6. I was so anti DD during construction until this weekend. The parking garage is NOT BAD!!! Yay!! The little light up number things to show you how many spaces are available were awesome. The traffic kept moving to get in, we did not sit still. And the walk is really not bad. And I did this with a baby and a stroller. On the way out we saw the valet, and since you have TIW, that would be free. We didnt use it bc we couldn't find it at first. It was by la nouba.

As far as easter, I bet they'll throw bunny ears on the dancers :)

Tip: dancing starts earlier than band. If you want live music, make your ressie a little closer to 7. Dancing to iPod music starts at 5. Both good.

Raglan is the best. Don't miss it.

  7. Funny you mention the plastic apparatus of the booze pop.

    Now that's strange.

I mean come on. That thing could use some repackaging.

    That's all I will say. Because I'm a lady.

But I know I'm not the only one. It's the elephant in the room and no one has said anything.

But again, that's all I will say.
