  1. Waking up to the sounds of nature and buses and train horns and Richard Pettys driving experience (that sounds snarky, but really, I do like that odd combination of sounds in the morning)

Morning walk to the lodge for breakfast

Watching the kids play at the beach park from the rocking chairs

That first visit to the trading post. And then the other trading post.

    Boat to the magic kingdom

    Boat to contemporary and lodge

    Happy hour on crockets porch

Walking. And then walking some more.

Coffee and cinnamon roll from trails end

Watching Bell light up when she finds her best pony Carrot Top at the TCD ranch

  2. OK, now for my BIG news!!!! I received the candy cane today in the mail!!!! I was/am so excited. Here is my "candy cane review"!!!!!!

The peppermint smell is heavenly! It definitely has a MUCH stronger smell then the average candy cane.

After having a few licks, I can say that it has a stronger peppermint flavor then the average candy cane and was super yummy!

After taking a bite, I have to say that the texture was really different.....not sure how I can explain that any better, but it was almost grainy and not as smooth as a store bought candy cane.

My overall opinion.....I like it for sure and will enjoy every bite/lick......but, it is not as good as I expected after watching them being made on Guy F's show. They are NOT worth $14.00.

Andrew, you have completed a bucket list item for me in getting a chance to have an authentic Disneyland candy cane!!! Thank you SO MUCH!!!!!!

    Where's the like button?

  3. Excellent summary TCD. Very well done. We are now thinking about getting over there for a trip when baby is bigger and other baby isn't too big.

Based on what you said, and even taking into consideration what you've said about the food quality/ddp situation, I think I'd miss the resort dining at the world. That mixed with the fort, we come up once a month to just stay at the fort and eat in our favorite restaurants. Park food at the world, not the best, but we do love some of the resort dining experiences.

So based on my "never been to Disneyland opinion, which I probably don't even deserve", I'd miss the fort and the resorts (for their restaurants). But I would love to bring their park food over here. Looks so much better!

Thanks for sharing everything you learned!

  4. You can't really compare TE breakfast to the wave. Wave has sweet potato in their pancakes, whole grain in their waffles, cinnamon in their butter, key lime in their hollandaise, egg whites in their frittata, feta in their scramble, muesli in their....uh...muesli, brioche in their French toast, steel cut in their oats, chicken in their sausage. You get the picture. Two totally different dining experiences.

  5. Had a great time last night!

I apologize for the sudden departure, baby was DONE! We had officially pushed our luck. We were all weary travelers :)

Dave, thanks for hosting. I loved my time with Anna. She's a doll. Thank you for sharing her with us :). And Bella told me how much she enjoyed Stella. All of your girls are sweet!

It was awesome seeing our old friends and meeting new ones. All the kids were great and the adults behaved for the most part!

Can't wait to see pics :)
