Wow, now that I see that I remember reading it before. There were good fl res deals for just a bit more than what we paid for the lodge.

TCD, we actually stayed at the lodge the weekend before this and it is also under construction. No big pool, big walls, whole thing. One thing to mention about the lodge if anyone is wondering or not familiar, they tell you that you can use contemporary or fort pool. There is also a small pool at the lodge by the villas. Honestly, other than not having a slide, the small lodge pool was actually really enjoyable. Nice and shaded, not too crowded, they've got a makeshift bar set up. Oh, and no lifeguard so Bella got to wear her mermaid tail.

Anyways, just a little tip for your mass following that reads along here. All that poly construction got me thinking. Is there a second pool at the poly or are the guests there just having to pool hop?

But that's nothing new. I'm referring to Rick of course.

At one point Bella said "mom, how come no one is saying nice tail to you?" Rick told her they knew better.

Disney is selling an adorable hat and mitten thing for little girls. It's of Marie, a little white cat hat that fits over head and ears with two long 'arms' that end in muffs/mittens. It's very cute, saw several little girls wearing them. Could have used one myself, but just wouldn't fit. I know for sure, 'cause I tried one on.

You are right. It's super cute. I actually wore the matching tail to that set for halloween. Rick wore the Sully tail. It sounds like I'm joking, but I'm not. We heard "hey, nice tail!" a lot.

She's really pretty too. Elizabeth will love her :)

Yep. This is why we aren't at the fort this weekend. One downside to the pop up is the soft walls get a little chilly in the middle of the night when it goes below 50. It would be amazing weather for food and wine festival though.

That furniture shopping is awesome. How fun!!! Love the "lodgey" kind of stuff. That coffee table is a great find!

And that Jessica Rabbit costume, we won't show that to mrofbears. Hes had a little crush on Ms. Rabbit since he was a kid. Now that I think about it, that may be a good halloween costume idea for me one day.

I am currently drafting a letter of my own:

Dear Fort Wilderness Rangers,

Due to the new "seasonal lights out policy" I would now like to enforce a rule of my own. We'll call it the "if you don't get rid of the flood lights at the comfort station that shine right into my face while I'm sleeping specifically in the site right next to the bathroom in the 2000 loop I am going to unscrew them all myself" policy.

We almost came up this weekend but that cold snap coming through on Saturday is going to be a bit too cold for baby in the pop up in the middle of the night. Otherwise, what gorgeous weather you all are going to have!! Absolutely perfect if you like clear blue skies and crisp fall air :). Enjoy!!

Something to add here. We just stayed at the lodge for my birthday, and while we didnt get any upgrades or pixie dust, I will say our standard room had a horrible view...until the fireworks started!! We laughed the rest of the weekend bc those rooms should be labeled "fireworks view". I've never had such a good show. We were in the rooms obviously on MK side, but specifically we could see the smokehouse, where they do their BBQ, and a parking lot. Not much to look at during the day, but so fun at night!

I've been enjoying the new era.

And I think back to how you said you bought your pop up when the girls were little. Time flies I'm sure!
