Anybody notice all the palm trees being planted on the interstates. They are being purchased from California, think what that cost us.

If a person is only going to use a cart camping a couple of times a year, it is cheaper to rent one instead of buying and maintaining one. Carts are not cheap to own and also you have to transport it. But that is another issue.
-
I recommend electric carts mainly for the noise. Electrics are almost silent with gas it is hard to have a conversation with who is with you..

With a pop up, I would try for 1500 loop. Close to pool and is a partial hook up, no sewer. Cheaper than 1400 and close to almost everything. Don't eliminate the 2000 loop some on here don't like it, but I have been in it 4 or 5 times and find it about the same as 1500, but not quite as convenient to the pool. Send me a message if I can answer any questions.

I tried armadillo one time a long time ago. White meat like pork. Just to say I tried it.

Arriving on a Monday you should have no problems getting a kit. The only time I have had a problem is on busy holiday weekends. Monday is usually a slow day. Go when you first get there Meadows Trading Post is where you get them.

Stop by Goodwill, buy a cheap one 20-30 dollars or so and just leave it In a rack somewhere
-
Congratulations to the twins, but are you going to be able to visit them every week so we can get a trip report?
-
I saw a girl in shorts with short sleeves at Flywheelers today. It was 50 with high winds.
-
For a non trip report, you are doing real good imitating a trip report

Beautiful picture of Anna. I also have given up on Holidays and even weekends because of the crowds and attitudes of the campers. I have taken to staying Sunday night leaving Friday mornings to miss the crowd.

Seems like they should have been put in the group camp area where there is a lot of room for tents and room for parking
-
He said the group was Pro Dad and it is their 4th year there. Had 100 first year, 300 2nd year, 500 last year and expect 600 this year. Had one site taken over by a pro catering business. They also had a few sites in 1600 for rvs. I think this has something to do with Tony Dungy. I am glad I was leaving.

I checked out of 1506 this morning. Group checking in has reserved the whole loop, according to the person I talked to they have 600 people coming in today. They were setting tents up all over the place and had a pile of firewood you couldn't have fit in a pickup truck. One comfort station for 600 sounds crowded.

Looks good, will get base at next show, about 2 weeks away (Will be at the Fort next week and Flywheelers is the next)

Looks real good

Let me jump in, just DW and I in our 70s. We have a pop up and have stayed in both loops several times. There are more sites in 2000 meaning more people, however we do not prefer 1500 over 2000, have seen large groups in both, last time in 1500 there was a large group camping in three sited must have been at least 40 kids plus adults. Have seen same in 2000 loop so don't feel there is much difference as far as crowd problems being less in one or the other. 2000 has more comfort stations, 1500 has one shared with 1600 loop. I always request close to comfort station and have never been disappointed with either loop. We go 4-6 times a year

Love that campsite in the Keys. We are headed that way in July and thought about changing campgrounds until I saw the price, will have to stay with the State Park.
-
Interesting start, looing forward to rest of report.

Get a B&W hitch, you can get both hitches for it. We have one in our 1 ton and it works real good When you remove the hitch there is nothing left sticking up in the bed. Don't use adapter to use your gooseneck hitch as it put ore stress on camper frame.
-
Great report, but when are you going to let him out of the camper?

Happy Birthday Snarky!

Only if they are jacked up gas powered ones without a muffler and a stereo playing death metal as loud as it can.
Need to scare the wildlife off the path so they don't get run over.
Don't forget the horn blowing every 50 feet
Busy day at the Outpost
