You may like that TV, but bet you would hate gas millage. Probably gets about 8-10 mpg, I had a 30 series GMC van single tire and only got 10 empty and 6-8 loaded. Had to stop for gas every 150-200 miles.

I think that would be a very nice TV. Enough vehicle to tow almost any trailer. There are too many people towing trailers with inadequate TV, there should be a course new owners should take before buying a trailer some don't know they don't have enough vehicle to pull it or know how to tow a trailer.

I have a reservation at Anastasia State Park, it is on the beach close to St.Augustine

I have thought about someone staying at Fort Wilderness for free for sometime now. I don't want to do it, but don't think it would be too hard to do. All you would have to do is look like you belong. The only problem would be sleeping at night, but you could always sleep in a chair on the beach or at a pool. Don't think security would ever brother you. During the day no problem, look at all the freeloaders that spend the day there.

Isn't what you have called a Handcycle?
Is that in a class by itself, or does it compete with conventional looking Racing Chairs?
I saw it yesterday at your site, that electric motor you added will not pass inspection though.
[/Electric motor, I think it should be a v-8 gas motorquote]

Maybe a filter to remove duck weed from the water

Haven't seen one here yet, but have heard howling at nights. Others have seen them, maybe I don't get up early enough since I quit my paying job.

Did I get page 1?

I am going to stick my neck out and mention that while I don't live near the Fort, about 60 miles away about 90 minutes travel time, I have a mowed field by my pump house behind my home that I keep mowed that would be open to any fiend that would like to leave a RV for a spell. It is not fenced, but is not on the road so no one should be in there but us. Only about 100 yards back of home.
-
I would be willing to build one for some one. However they are not cheap to build, not sure, but must be close to 75-100 dollars in one in materials.
-
Don't know how to approach this, but maybe some fiends who live close to the Fort, might permit other fiends to leave their rv on their property for a short stay.

I got mine from Ebay only cost a couple of bucks. Think I order 4 or five of them abd they came with remotes.

Just wanted to express how much I enjoy these trip reports. For those of us who had to cancel our December trips this is a way to get some Disney experience. So a big THANK YOU for all the work all who take the time to write and post these reports. BigTom

As long as the kids hang around, Daddy gets to pays for everything.

My mother several years before she died took all the old photos and separated them according to each of us and mad scrap book for each child, there were 4 of us, and gave them for Christmas one year. They were the hit of the year.

I don't know how widespread it is, but I was there last July 4 in 1500 loop and there were several sites that had 3-5 vehicles parked on them during the day and no camper. They would leave late at night and be there all day.
-
I always leave mine locked to TV in overflow lot and had no problems. Make sure you get the parking pass for the trailer.

Do we have a place to post unneeded camping equipment other fiends might need that we no longer use?

Don't know about CM helping with MOHO but I bet any fiend would be willing to help

I have been in the 1500 and the 2000 loops several times. There is the same problems on both with the kids running around and the noise. It just seems worse on the 2000 loop because it has more sites. Last time we were in 1500 there was about 3 sites with at least 35 kids and 20 adults on them in a group. Also added in was the group of 50 in the 1600 loop, CS didn't have a chance.

Let me tell you which truck is the best for you. Find one that is able to do what you want, that is in your price range, that you can get serviced close to you by a good business, that you can find parts for locally, and that is comfortable to sit in and drive. Make sure you get enough truck to handle the load you will want to haul. All brands have good trucks now. I recommend at least a 2500 to pull a TT.

Probably heat strip is burnt out. Not had to replace and is not real expensive. Heat strips are not intended for continuous use and only to take chill off the camper.

Refund if you leave early?
in General Camping Discussion and Questions

My son had to leave 1 day early last summer when someone ran their car into his garage. ($35,000 damage) Disney offered without asking a refund.
They stopped in and checked out and final bill was reduced by 1 day amount.
