  2. Hey Rhonda,

Can you give us an idea of the rates for 2013. Looking at the Wild Womens trip it looks like it went from rack rate of $106 for a full hook up pres day weekend to $108 for the same but after AAA discount. I am certainly not looking for a full rate card but does it look like some kind of average % increase? Above looks in excess of 10%.

    Thanks

ETA I tried using on-line but it wasn't working for me to check rates.

ETAA I see that the WWW rate includes taxes and the baseline I was looking at for 2012 didn't so that is a pretty good chunk of the difference.

  3. However, don't think that you are going to stop by the service plaza and get one and instantly activate it, because it takes 4 hours to go live. So, unless you want to sit around for four hours at the plaza or fool around on the Turnpike for that amount of time, I would suggest you buying it on a trip and activating it while at your destination and using it on the way home.

There is an instant option. I purchased a mini for 25$. It includes $20 preloaded and can be used right away. You can then go on the Sunpass account afterwards and set up a CC. You don't get the $5 buck credit but when towing a trailer and making a trip through the Turnpike and then over to the beach and back. I was still saving money. PLUS saving time. It is much faster now that they are moving the toll booths to the side of the road allowing travel lanes to conitnue at speed.

  4. We strolled inside where a CM was rolling the hay cart down the stalls. Every horse would stick their head out when he got close, and duck back in as soon as dinner was served.

Since we are going with what we think you wrote....

I read CM was rolling *in* the hay cart down the stalls

  5. Matt has two more years there and if things go according to plan then I need to start rooting for GT for Ryan and then two years later pick up UGA again with my daughter.

That is funny about the USF ticket sales. I would imagine that a whole season may not be much more that single game tickets at FSU. At UGA they are nearly 100% season tickets and indivual tickets are often $100 or more through stubhub or such.

Matt does say he may go to UF/USF for grad school though. If he ends up at UF I will have alot of fun poking at him about his confused allegiances UGA vs UF.

  6. TCD, I wasn't bragging. I pointed out several issues I'm worried about. And yes, losing to a Big 10 team in our bowl game was embarrassing. Looking at our schedule though, I think this year will be a pretty good season. We'll see...

But personally, I hope Dooley and Muschamp stay put. ;-)

I am optimistic for this season. Our schedule does align pretty well with a good BCS run. We also have brought in a bunch of talent over the last few years and it is time to see if they can produce (be coached to produce ;-) )

So TCD, have the twins spilt your college rooting again (maybe UCF?)?

What is the local word on USF, pretty disappointed as usual by the end of last season.

  7. Sorry we missed you at Stone Mountain but wow what a spectacular trip. We've been on the Wonder twice and I never thought I would like cruising her in Alaska but I was very wrong. That's one for the bucket list!

Sorry about Linda's fall and the scooter issues. Hope she is doing better now.

  8. Interesting! The Lacey Hotel and Moon's Station are references to Kennesaw (formerly Big Shanty during Civil War times). These locations were part of the Great Locomotive Chase where a bunch of Northern spys stole a train and tried to disrupt the rails/train traffic from Kennesaw to Ringgold (near Chattanooga).

I think Stone Mountain used to do a recreation of the event and these were probably props for that show.

The movie The Great Locomotive Chase is a Disney movie and starred Fess Parker.
