Wow Dave, so sorry to hear about your furry loved one. I remember when our pup died you said you knew it wouldn't be that much longer for Daisy. Prayers and thoughts are with you and the family as you deal with the loss.

I have spent several weekends with scouts on the USS Yorktown in Charleston and the USS Alabama in Mobile. The Lex looks like it would be a neat trip. Have to put it on my list. Although I really enjoyed visiting these ships, I have no interest in ever spending the night on one again....LOL

It was great "running" into you at the 5K. I had heard from a source that you may be there so I was on the lookout. I figured I would wear my Fort shirt in case there were any fiends around. It was the first time I had worn the shirt because when I had bought it I weighed about 70 pounds more! I was so worried about the pace requirement and I should have realized that it was no big deal.
Great to see you guys there and can't wait to do another one!

Happy birthday Lou!

Hey everyone,
Thanks for the birthday wishes. I got my wish, I am heading to WDW for some spring training this weekend and a 5K.

Now, to be honest I thought I had put together a crockpot dinner for that night. But this next picture in order tells me that this was the night we decided to go to DTD to do some shopping and hit Earl of Sandwich for dinner.
We drove over to DTD, but at each intersection where you would enter the parking lot, the signs up on the light signals indicated "LOT FULL".
Whodathunk DTD would be busy 3 days after Christmas?
Yeah, I'm usually a better planner. But this wasn't working out so well. And, as I've said before, I don't like people. So while we may have been able to find a parking spot, the thought of fighting crowds in the shops and to get a table at Earl's was not how I wanted to spend my evening. So we aborted that plan and turned around..
Sorry we weren't able to meet up with you guys. If you had made it to DTD, we could have met with you. We were at a hotel so getting over to POR would have probably taken more time than you were there. We ended up just heading back to DTD and eating at Wolfgang Puck's express. Excellent dinner as usual. I guess we will just have to wait until SMGG.. See ya then. Kelly was not at all happy about skipping POR.

Marlee Matlin "signs" the show and someone else does the speaking for her. Very beautiful!
Totally agree, we weren't too sure about it beforehand but it was wonderful!

I agree Scott, this is the first time in 4 years we aren't having Thanksgiving Dinner at the Fort. But before that for about 6 years we went on Friday and stayed until Wednesday after, so this is the first time in 10 years we won't be there over TG weekend. Bummer
Gonna miss seeing you guys this year...Ready to return in 2013!

Wish I was there.
First time in five years we aren't going to be at Disney (DL, DCL or WDW), Yes i am in major withdrawal!
-
Hmmm.
I don't know what the one in Disneyland was like.
The one at WDW involved a ride through a lagoon, Then a "dive" that involved a lot of bubbles and not much no diving. Then a ride through a cave with a lot of plastic fish and one giant plastic squid. Then a ride through a waterfall. Then back to the dock.
Was that how Disneyland's was?
Disneyland never had the 20,000 leagues version. They had the Nautilus but it was the US Navy's (first atomic sub) as well as several others (Patrick Henry, George Washington, Skipjack). When I was a kid I always wanted to ride the Nautilus. The ride though was essentially the same. Not sure if it had the giant Squid but I think it did. The new version with Nemo just really did the character overlay and painted the subs to be a tourist voyage.
They do have a 20K Nautilus walk through in Disneyland Paris as much of their Tomorrowland has a Jule Verne theme. Also, they do have one of the subs at Castaway Cay for snorkleing.
Sadly, 20K at MK was the only ride that used the 20K version of the Nautilus

I am traveling to DC today and will be working there this week. Between presentations, stupid dinner parties and election night tomorrow....I may not get back to this report until later in the week. But I will get back to it!
Oh, what a fun place to be tomorrow!

After they left, I wandered up to the campground store to inquire about getting my propane tank filled. I got them topped off here last fall, and haven't needed to since. I guess I don't use too much propane.
Probably your use of alternative gasses.

Fortunately, INC still had one bite left of her corn dog.
Yum. That's some awesome pood forn right there, isn't it?? :faceplant2:
No comment but my mind be a wandering.....just saying :clint:
Great report - looks like a great time. We are itching to get over to those parts some time but fall is always a bad time for us with marching band.

Tell Gwen we all said Happy Birthday

YEAH!, glad you found them. Not sure about the Benz keys, but replacing keys these days is a pretty expensive proposition. Much better to spend that on Beer!

I goit tired of waiting and since I was only dropping in, felt someone else should start it (hint hint).
We are starting to plan our trip down to FL and need to make sure that it includes the day of the _____WIT.
Yes, I am ready now!
-
-
Has anyone started a thread yet? We won't be camping but I am thinking we will be a freeloader for the day.
Hoping we will have another _____WIT event.

Hey ladies,
You may want to look into Allegiant Airlines. They fly to Clearwater/St Pete and Orlando Sanford. Usually quite cheap but limited flight times.
-
What about your Bulls?
They need all the well wishes they can get this weekend.
TCD
I will be rooting for a surprise upset this weekend. To think they could knock off the No2 team in the country. I am starting to sound like Aaron.....
Actually, you can appreciate this. I spend so much money at UGA I now feel more "invested" there rather than USF and UCF. At least Matt likes it.

I just pulled into Bulldog Park, a luxury RV resort in Athens. People who have more money than us buy parking spaces here. Some of them even build fireplaces, etc. on them. It's going to be a little different than our usual parking lot.
Hey Kelly,
We are going to the GA/GSU game and I am thinking about taking the trailer over. Do you have any suggestions? How did you end up in bulldog park, did you rent from an owner or something else. We have never done the RV tailgating thing so really don't know where to start. I have looked at prestige parking and UGA parking.
Go DAWGS!

Maybe just maybe it is for the existing pavillion? Meaning that the DVC may be shelved. Hey I can hope can't I?

Well folks, now it just looks like I am jumping on the bandwagon (the one with a broken wheel). We have been debating for weeks if we could still make it but alas, it is not to be.
Hopefully we may be able to stop by for the day but we won't know till the last minute.
I posted this last night but it apparently brought the server down. Guess it was my fault
