Lake Lanier 2015.....
I'm in!
Being from the Atlanta area, I wanted something different than Stone Mountain. We have some pretty awesome campgrounds in the area with a lot to offer. SM is great but let's try something else. That's whats pulling us to Townsend/Gatlinburg....oh and the Fiends of course.
Miss you folks from previous years but we'll catch up soon!

Yes, that is what we are talking about. And obviously their silence since they have moved over to CecilFiends.net.

Hey guys,
Can't wait to see everyone. We are waffling on which day we are going to Dollywood. We may need to go on Sunday so that would mess us up for the pot-luck. We are also trying to get out of here early on Friday so if we can do that we will be a bit more flexible on when we need to do the different activities.
Also. weather will probably dictate our Dolly trip so need to just play that part by ear.
What are any needs for the pot luck. Sides desserts mains? Let us know as we are still bringing a dish. We would also be happy to join in a breakfast and can make Belgian waffles. Any idea what day for that?
See ya all real soon.

What temp due you consider hot?
I have similar question. I did a test run on a trailer that had been parked for nearly two years. All went well. Check hubs after forty miles of highway driving. One hub was slightly warmer than the others. All were not "hot to the touch". I could easily hold my hand on them. Other than a potential problem, is this enough? I have not greased them so I think it could just be a bit dry.

I finally have a proper display for the spike I received from Lou :)
What do you use to do that?

The Redcoats are coming, the Redcoats are coming.
Hey Lou, let me fix that for you.

I would love to but we still have band activities throughout the fall. One of these days!

GDF ,
I was meaning to tell you that we do about the same thing at Allatoona. Dad has a pontoon and we put our camper on the lake.
Maybe we should have a GG on one of the lakes.

OK, this is getting too complicated.
We'll do the 12 pass van to Ray's. I'm good with that.
I just happen to know a couple of fiends with 12 passenger vans...

we can do that.

There is also the Old Smokey Moonshine disterillery we want to visit.
That is on our list!!!!

OK, is there any particular day that folks might be planning for Dollywood? Right now, I'm thinking we would head home Tuesday, but...... if work schedules hold true for now, could probably add a day. Anybody else up for Dollywood on Tuesday? (Won't go any of the holiday weekend days).
We are thinking about going but with holiday weekend not sure we will venture there. Tuesday is not an option for us but Saturday, Sunday, or Monday would be our only days. Not sure if all of us will go or just the kids.

Some of us Fiends on the scene may just have to check out that space between those peaks at the Memorial Day GG.

Congrats, way to start them out early!

We also use a filter on the faucet end of the MH hose. Filters vary from cheap to really high cost, dependig on what they filter out.
Actually, I just purchased one this weekend at Wal-Mart for about $25 and am pretty happy with how it improved the taste of the water.
At the Fort, the tap water is pretty nasty so a filter may be needed for someone used to GA water...LOL You could always pick one up at Camping World or Wally World down there after trying it.

If you purchased from three-way, likely the hose that came with the camper will already have the regulator on the end. The two we purchased there came with a start up kit with hose, regulator, basic sewer hose. It would be a brass 1-3 inch long piece that would just go in-line on the hose. This should be connected to the spigot at the campground before attaching your hose.

I bought a dit van. 2013 chevy 3500 12 seat 6.0l 6 speed hd transmission. 1yr old off rent with 14k miles. Like new! I managed to convince the fam and they were very supportive that we shouldn't give up on camping. That and honestly getting our camping pup lyla belle has really made me want to camp again! I am sitting by the lake, coffee in my hand, with her by my side! Glorious day to be camping!!!!!!!!

Trailer still rolls. Wasn't too sure since it hadn't moved in two years. Did a 40 mile pull on the interstate with the new van. Wow! Did it tow nice. I think it was even better than the ram 2500 diesel. Much better than the ram 1500 4.7 gas! Everything works and we have no leaks. Well except for the kitchen sink which is dripping like Chinese water torture and one of the knobs snapped off.

Thanks. Looks like we'll stay with our normal mod of operation... and leave really early :)
Coming at of atlanta can be brutal after work. We found getting up an leaving in middle of the night makes for.a less stressful trip. Kids sleep and Much less traffic. Dad can sleep once he gets there.
