  1. It may be a blessing in disguise that it's fully booked.

    The campground will be packed.

It's another Star Wars nerd fest weekend at DHS.

It's the "24 hour rock your Disney side" fiasco.

It's going to be in the 90s.

The crowd levels are expected to be a 9+ out of 11. That's spring break levels.

But the worst thing is that you might run into Mo and her crazy sister in-law.

I'm heading to Atlanta and leaving the mayhem behind.

Good thing GG is this weekend in TN

  2. Lake Lanier 2015.....

    I'm in!

Being from the Atlanta area, I wanted something different than Stone Mountain.  We have some pretty awesome campgrounds in the area with a lot to offer.  SM is great but let's try something else.  That's whats pulling us to Townsend/Gatlinburg....oh and the Fiends of course.

Miss you folks from previous years but we'll catch up soon!

  3. Hey guys,

Can't wait to see everyone.   We are waffling on which day we are going to Dollywood.   We may need to go on Sunday so that would mess us up for the pot-luck.  We are also trying to get out of here early on Friday so if we can do that we will be a bit more flexible on when we need to do the different activities.

Also. weather will probably dictate our Dolly trip so need to just play that part by ear.

What are any needs for the pot luck.  Sides desserts mains?  Let us know as we are still bringing a dish.  We would also be happy to join in a breakfast and can make Belgian waffles.  Any idea what day for that?

    See ya all real soon.

  4. What temp due you consider hot?

I have similar question.  I did a test run on a trailer that had been parked for nearly two years.  All went well.  Check hubs after forty miles of highway driving.  One hub was slightly warmer than the others.  All were not "hot to the touch".  I could easily hold my hand on them.  Other than a potential problem, is this enough?  I have not greased them so I think it could just be a bit dry.

  5. OK, is there any particular day that folks might be planning for Dollywood? Right now, I'm thinking we would head home Tuesday, but...... if work schedules hold true for now, could probably add a day. Anybody else up for Dollywood on Tuesday? (Won't go any of the holiday weekend days).

We are thinking about going but with holiday weekend not sure we will venture there.  Tuesday is not an option for us but Saturday, Sunday, or Monday would be our only days.  Not sure if all of us will go or just the kids.

  6. We also use a filter on the faucet end of the MH hose.  Filters vary from cheap to really high cost, dependig on what they filter out.

Actually, I just purchased one this weekend at Wal-Mart for about $25 and am pretty happy with how it improved the taste of the water.

At the Fort, the tap water is pretty nasty so a filter may be needed for someone used to GA water...LOL   You could always pick one up at Camping World or Wally World down there after trying it.

  7. If you purchased from three-way, likely the hose that came with the camper will already have the regulator on the end.  The two we purchased there came with a start up kit with hose, regulator, basic sewer hose.  It would be a brass 1-3 inch long piece that would just go in-line on the hose.  This should be connected to the spigot at the campground before attaching your hose.

  8. I bought a dit van. 2013 chevy 3500 12 seat 6.0l 6 speed hd transmission. 1yr old off rent with 14k miles. Like new! I managed to convince the fam and they were very supportive that we shouldn't give up on camping. That and honestly getting our camping pup lyla belle has really made me want to camp again! I am sitting by the lake, coffee in my hand, with her by my side! Glorious day to be camping!!!!!!!!

  9. Trailer still rolls. Wasn't too sure since it hadn't moved in two years. Did a 40 mile pull on the interstate with the new van. Wow! Did it tow nice. I think it was even better than the ram 2500 diesel. Much better than the ram 1500 4.7 gas! Everything works and we have no leaks. Well except for the kitchen sink which is dripping like Chinese water torture and one of the knobs snapped off.
