Our family favorites that weren't Harry Potter (and I don't do big coasters either) were Spider Man, Men In Black and Simpsons. Others near the top were Despicable Me (although it is frantically fast), Cat in the Hat and Shrek.  Disaster was fun but takes a while. I'm not a fan of the Terminator movies but if you are you might like that.  We also enjoyed the Animal Show and also the Horror Make Up Show. For the make up show we had a really funny person doing it plus he picked one of my DSs for the running joke.

There are a lot of fun things to do and see just walking around. Check out the Seuss play area and the Curious George play areas.

I also wanted to do the Pteranodon Flyers and one of my DS' was willing to go with me but the loading was sooooo sloooow that we gave up waiting after 15 minutes when we barely moved in line.

from the web site. I also did just find a mention of "10 minute drive to the Magic Kingdom" although it should probably say ride since I'm sure someone else will be doing the driving, at least they would if I stayed there.
    "Disney Character Breakfast
Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort is excited to offer the “Good Morning Breakfast with Goofy and his Pals” character breakfast, twice weekly at Ravello restaurant. The buffet-style breakfast will be offered on Thursdays and Saturdays, and also on Tuesdays during peak school break periods, and will feature a wonderful assortment of traditional breakfast offerings and an omelet station. A photographer will be available to capture the memories of the families with the stars of the breakfast, the always entertaining Goofy & Pals."

Then apparently nothing does. Because anything that makes me happy, can't be deserving of a down arrow.
IASW provides me happy, nostalgic memories of the first time I enjoyed it in 1974.  And possibly I rode a version of it at the NY World's Fair, but I was only 3 when I went to it so I don't have a clear memory.   Up arrow for warm and fuzzy feelings.      :raspberry:

To each her own. I'm picturing myself drinking my morning tea from that Mr. Toad mug with a big smile on my face. Right now I have several dozen mugs and I only use one of the four Disney travel mugs to bring tea to work each day and at home I always use my Joy To The World mug that has pictures on it that remind me of It's A Small World. Mr. Toad will fit right in.

I know nothing about Good Sam ratings, but I think it's interesting/amusing/a little sad that not having WiFi in a campground could lower the rating. Who would have thunk that about 10 years ago!

I can get that number down by sleeping in my tent in a tent/popup loop. Sometimes those are $60 a night I think. Utilities are included so I can take a lengthy shower every day for that price. I would hang out in various resort lounges on days when I'm not in the parks or when the weather is horrible.  I love people watching so that would be an activity that would keep me occupied for many days. I'd read and get lots of exercise walking around.  I'd only use my old car for going to a cheap grocery store for food. Splurge for meals occasionally.

I'm not thinking of a permanent stay, probably only for a year or so since there are a number of other places I'd like to live for a year. Yes, I'm a daydreamer!  And this is related to a fun conversation I had with my son about whether a kid (or "homeless" person) could hide out at WDW and for how long and what would he do to survive.

These are many of the ideas my son and I thought of. We actually had this conversation while sitting in the lobby of WL and decided it was a pretty nice place to live.  We agreed we would probably get a refillable mug and keep extending it at various locations -- hot chocolate is pretty filling.   We said shower at the Fort would probably be easiest.  An alternative to laundry could be going to the various lost and founds and saying one lost a "blue t-shirt" or something. "Is this is?" "Yes, that's it!"  An Annual Pass, while expensive, would help supplement the locations one could hide out in (good long naps in the People Mover, for example). I'd love to give this a try.

I don't know if this is your phrase or his, but I really like it. It places no blame. Are they wrong for not providing the experience or are you wrong for expecting something that wasn't going to be provided.
I think I'll use it the next time I complain to someone. "Excuse me, but I'm not having the experience I expected."

Seals got a reaction from BradyBzLyn...Mo in Magic Bands at the Fort
You can deactivate them on the My Disney Experience website and then reactivate them when you use them again (?not sure about that last part since it seems I've read that after the test they are going to/might issue new ones to everyone?). They read your MDE profile so when they are deactivated they can't do that and are just expensive wrist bands. That's what we did when my son thought he lost his between check out and home, esp. since we have non-expiration tickets still on our account.  You might want to do that if your pet seems to have a hankering to bond with Pluto or chase Mickey without your knowledge. You can also draw a clock face with a sharpie and pretend it's a watch, always set to 5:00 or something.  I'm keeping our two sets in the deluxe boxes they arrived in. It's like storing the holy grail. I'm thinking of building an altar.

Seals got a reaction from PureTcrazy...rita in Goin' with the Flow- TCD's Disney Dream Trip Report
I am following your request because I'm enjoying this trip report, as I have many other trip reports by you and many others. Enjoying this one so much that I too am considering making reservations for a cruise.
Actually, when I went to register I discovered I already had registered about a year ago and forgotten so I'm not technically a "guest" but definitely a lurker. Unfortunately (and the reason I haven't really posted before) I don't have time to do a real introduction right now. Full time job, 3 kids (including twins!), yada yada.... In my eventual introduction I will mention my first trips to the Fort in 1974 and 1977, which gives you a clue why I'm such a fan of the Fort and all things Disney. Also, a clue that I'm kinda old. Although I was only a teenager during those trips.
Anyway, I wanted to "de-lurk" temporarily at this point and I will try to post more after finishing a couple of big projects at work (which I'm using this TR as a break from at the moment) and a vacation, which will include a trip to the Fort (cabin this time for the first time for us usual tent people). I will try to do a TR but I have to warn that with 3 teen/tweens who I remind daily not to reveal any personal information on the internet, especially to strangers, it will have to be a stealth report. I'm also a very poor photographer.
    Interruption over. More TR, please.
