  1. Alice, It's a nice gesture, but the way the system works, it is highly unlikely a Fiend could grab your cancelled reservation.  When you cancel, your site and days go back into the pool for whoever is next for a reservation matching your setup....dates and/or site preference.  Like Nacole i am sorry you had to cancel.  It's never a good thing to have to cancel a Fort visit.  Hope you get back soon.

  2. Hey!  COP is one our favorites and usually our first stop in the MK, ...even if it is a little dated in the newest scene.  I like the old sets, but maybe that's because I'm old, like them.    I think Lou is just too young to appreciate what we had back in the day.  And I'm trying to teach Shawnee to sing the song.  "It's a great big beautiful tomorrow..."  Now that the song is in your head....  enjoy.   :gaah:

  3. I have had Dish for quite a few years at home.  For a couple of years we took a home receiver out the the MH and used a portable antenna.  It got to be such a problem we quit and just used cable wherever we were (usually WDW).

We have a dish on the roof of our newer MH, but have not tried to use it yet.  i understand it was set for Direct and needs to be retuned for Dish.  Also I'm not sure it will work with our home receivers.

And yes, Nacole.  you will need an antenna to pick up the satellite signals and bring them into your receiver.

I don't think I could watch any more sports than Dish is providing...except for weekend Braves games, which are blacked out because of a contract dispute.  Oh well, it's college football season now, so what more could I want.

  4. Hrumph.  Dollywood trams can take an ECV or wheelchair.

This is a good thread.  We have been using a manual wheelchair for Shawnee, but as he has grown and we have aged, we are considering a power chair for him.  He had one years ago, but his teachers didn't want to bother, so he never got proficient and went back to manual, which he is quite good at.  We will meet with his chair technician tomorrow on other chair matters and will ask if the power chair can be grown for him, or if we would need a new one.  We also have a six-wheel Jazzy that needs new batteries that might do for him.  Both chairs have joystick controls.  I'm expecting he would mostly need one when we travel, like WDW (long distances) and Dollywood.(hills).

Of course we might then need a larger trailer, but don't tell Judy yet.  hee-hee

  5. 1600-1900 are the Full sites.  They are a little more distant from many activities, but with busses, golf carts, bikes, or occasional walking the activity areas and external bus/boat transportation can be accessed.  A main disadvantage is some sites are a long way from the single bus stop that serves all four loops.  And there are those who say watch for 1900 in the flood season. Enjoy.

  6. Off Topic:  It's enough to make a fellow a Bulldog fan.  I was just attacked by a horde of Yellow Jackets.  Got about 5 stings.  Accidently brought three in on my clothes and in my hair.  They are all dead now.  I was weed eating in the back yard when they came at me.  I guess they didn't want me to eat their weeds.  :(
