We have stayed 25-30 days every year through December for 15 years or so. Also assorted short visits, maybe 5 nights at a time.
-
I haven't seen 1200 or 1300 mentioned. We liked 1200 for the larger sites that gave us plenty of room in front and behind the site to decorate for Christmas. We haven't stayed in 1300, but it is convenient to the Meadowes area.

We're also in that choir. But we're goin' to win the lottery when it gets big enough.

But Jen and SuperGeek: Aren't you raking in piles of money running this board?

We have gone for about 15 years now and have NEVER driven to a park or DTD. We figure we're on vacation and relaxing includes letting the Disney drivers do their thing and get us where we want to go. And when we are there with three or more wheelchairs, we often have had to ride two busses (there are a few with space for three chairs, but not many) and the wait is rarely more than 15 minutes or so. As I said, we're on vacation, so we don't rush or overschedule.

Sometime around 2007 the imperialist government ruled any new TVs had to be capable of the digital format. So if your set is newer than that, you are most likely good.

Last year we were in a site that had a couple of deposits. Don't know if they were from a previous occupant or someone just wandering by the site. We didn't have a dog at that tie, and we try to be more observant for our new fur ball.

Well, we won three, but couldn't get over the hump in today's game. I saw a lot of promise for the future for Auburn BB, and I saw a coach with tears in his eyes several times. That man may be quality after all. Thanks to the crowd and to the announcers for the comments and standing ovation as the seniors were removed from the game near the end. They had quite a run in Nashville.

Your home (or government subsidized) converter will work for OTA signals, but I'm pretty sure the Disney cable uses a special converter just for the channel setup on their cable.

Gwen, So sorry for your loss. I remember how I felt a few months ago when I realized all of my parents family generation was now gone.
-
Oops, Sorry, Zane. I confused you with Starbuc71. But I have considered redoing our GC for several years since a few things have rubbed paint off in our trailer. I would also go the DIY route.
-
Zane, Just curious...How much prep work was there to repainting the cart and what kind of paint did you use?
I love your Herbie and I think we camped just down the loop from you last year (Christmas 2013).

Great thread....not that I would get on those rides... :barf:
-
But Dave, Didn't Walt say the campground would remain as long as the lawnmower was on/in that tree?
-
Yes. There are many rides that you can hold the youngest one on. Small World comes to mind. The big coasters are probably out, but there are shows/activities that are small-fry friendly. Carousel of Progress. Living With the Land. The Great Movie Ride. I'm sure there will be others chiming in here to offer more and probably better suggestions.

I don't recall seeing it mentioned, but if you do decide to go the AK, be sure and take in Festival of the Lion King. It is a high energy show, now being performed in a new venue. I haven't seen it there yet, but we try to take it in every trip. I also understand there is a Nemo show in the same part of AK, but I have not seen that at all. It's on the list for the next trip.

And wave at us. We're just on the south side of the mountain....but we've never stayed there.

I could've guessed the post above. First I have to repair our regular (upright) mickey lamps. All three have some measure of cracks, mostly around the bases. also have to paint our last acquired milk can, which is to be a Minnie base.
Oh, and repair an inflatable where a Mickey light blew over and burned a hole in his ear.

And these are just for Fireworks Viewing?
-
No more Southern Smothered? It must be their way of forcing me to try some other menu item. We'll see.

We've never stayed in the 100 loop, but we frequently cut through on the paved path. A few years ago we drove the GC through there, but the posts they installed stopped that. I never noticed much noise around there, and a lot of people went through there looking at Feisty's decorations. Not so much any more.

Can anyone suggest new places for us to go with our three wheelchairs? We've been to Disney MANY times and several trips to the Dollywood area. Looking for some suggestions that might be enjoyable for our kids and adults and might be in the area of a week trip from the Atlanta area. We've also been to Branson and the Grand Ole Opry a couple of times, but without a toad, it is difficult to move around a lot. Am I expecting too much with too many restrictions? Years ago Opryland Theme Park would have worked...but alas it's gone. For now, it's Dollywood for this Spring break.

5x8 ?? My MH bathroom is bigger than that! :flush2:

We have had two occasions to replace the front AC in various 37 foot motorhomes. Each time I opted for 15K. The front area is larger and needs more cooling capability. The 15K was not that much more costly ands fits just like the 13.5K.
Also in the last MH I was able to isolate the wiring for the rear AC so it could be run independently...with the primary shore power cord plugged into 30A, the rear AC was plugged into 20A via a separate extension cord.

The worst thing about our oven is lighting it. I can't reach the pilot knob, hold the door open, and reach the pilot location at the same time. I need to work on this. As for a convection oven, I have used it a couple of times, but had to get a wire grill to put the food on so the bottom would cook. From what I have read, it is not much different from a regular oven except the time or temp must often be adjusted from the recipe.
