Well We are favored by 20 or so this week! Then an open week. The problem is that Gus's system needs a particular QB talent to run it. Jeremy seemed ok in it last year.. Don't know WHY he couldn't find Duke or Louis this year. Maybe the freshman is the answer after he shakes the starting jitters...maybe not. If not it will be a LONG season. War Eagle!

Not a big fan of Tex or Mex, and I know Shawnee will rather go to Cosmic Ray's. Maybe this new menu will pull some of the overload crowd from CR's so we can find a table easier. Then there's always a turkey leg....

A pound or two of dry ice would help too.

Oops! Previous comment was from Ken. I didn't notice Judy was still signed on. Sorry, Dear.

I thought I had read the new machines at the Fort were as described above...computerized and credit card enabled. I also thought I had read they could notify you when your machines were finished.

I think they are watching to see if you are slipping anyone in clinging to your undercarriage. Or counting axles to install a toll system?

We never used our cover last Christmas. Yes we got some rain, but we either stay "home" or endured it. I seem to recall Gwen has the good kind of cover. We have the cheap one....harder to use.

I know the Final Four is (are?) supposed to be picked by "The Committee", but since they are heavily influenced by the polls, I can see the process will need some serious tweeking to remain viable. And preseason polls are worthless, except to slant the selection process. Let's play the games! War Eagle.
TCD, Sorry FSU didn't get your two guys from New York. :popo:

Our critter, Savannah has been going out on the deck just to chase the birds away we have put food out for. Then she lies in the sun for a while and comes in watching to see if the birds are back for another cycle.

Welcome! You never know what you will get on this site. Be assured we have a very knowledgable group, not only on Ft Wilderness, but also on most any topic you can name. After 10 replies (or so) the threads usually get hijacked toward any subject that the poster thinks of. Enjoy the ride and post often.

Welcome LA Rivers. You will find a wealth of knowledge and
someMANY smart cracks herein. Enjoy. It's more like a family than a forum. Your family may vary. -
A Kuerig in the S&B kitchen and a color coordinated Kuerig in the MH. Neither gets used very much, but I will make a cup of hot chocolate a few times in the winter. No Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, etc. Maybe a Bojangles for a steak/sausage/chicken biscuit when we're in TN.
Also, we're long time campers, but we started in a MH and moved up in size....us AND the MH.

Sites in the 100-300 loops are smaller than sites in the premium areas. You will be closer to neighbors, but there is generally some space/vegetation between the sites top provide some measure of separation. I am surprised you found no premium sites available since there are so many more premium loops than preferred. You might call and ask again, or contact or the mighty TA, Jason, to do some free work for you in this regard. If he doesn't chime in here, his ad in to the right of some of the index pages.

Dang! Now you got me hankerin' for summa that before 3000 opens. Might have to russle up a batch here at home.

We haven't actually rung in more than a few New Years in maybe 50 years, but we'll be around there somewhere.

Truly difficult to wrap my mind around this. We lost a child at the Fort in 2008, but he was a very special needs child who was expected to have a short life span. To lose one suddenly like this ...

Then stand back and watch the trash collector try to get it out of the can?
And by the way, thanks for the info on the 5 years on the roll and longer in use.

I may have asked this question before, but if so I have missed the responses. I bought a couple rolls of tape a few years ago to cover the seams of my then Itasca Suncruiser. Looking at the job I decided a 2 inch instead of a 4 inch width would cover nicely. I sliced one roll of the tape lengthwise and used half to fix the passenger side roof seam. I have kept the other 4 inch roll and now may have a use for it...the driver's side seam. Question: How long does unused tape last, or is there a use-by consideration?

Sometimes there is some kind of overhaul planned for a particular loop and they must get everyone out of that loop before starting....water, sewer, cable, electrical, paving. They try to get this done in the lesser busy seasons.

I think they cancel a show from time to time if there are not enough ticket sales and maybe tickets still available for other shows. If so, I agree with the practice. We were there one early show with few in the audience and it was not so much fun as a fuller house.

Then there's the one Jen made that sits atop a 4x4 post. If I recall correctly they also sit atop a rod driven into the ground, so they can be moved fairly readily. Sorry I don't have a link to the directions she posted, but maybe she can share that vital info.

On behalf of Mayor Kaseem Reed and all the politicians who have friends running the ATL concessions, baggage, and ground transportation, I apologize for the delays.
Personally I have not flown since 1995 and plan to make that my final flight.

I like 'em. Wish we could use something like that, but our awning is so horizontal, we have to bring it in whenever the dew gets heavy, or we will collect eater to quench the arid western states.
