We have been in that area twice around two Christmas'. We really didn't notice the noise inside with the A/Cs running. We are also all late sleepers, and weren't bothered. Of course with canvas sides, it might be a different story. We travel in a MH.
-
The sites around 1209 do have more noise due to busses approaching the 4-way stop. I guess it depends on what kind of rig you have as to whether you hear the noise.

1209 is my favorite campsite. Please hold it for us for Christmas.

So I don't think there is anything wrong with my TV(s). It's just a matter of what Disney is carrying on their cable. Why my sets scan in those middle channels, complete with station identifier and HD, but then shows No Signal when I tune to them, I have no idea. I can live with that. But why is there no SEC network???? Fortunately almost all bowl games are carried on ESPN during the time we are usually at the Fort, but for those interested in Softball and baseball tournaments, which are going now/soon, good luck.
Jen, Are you in Starkville?

Git 'er done! We'll be there in mid-June.

How many Fiends have actually seen a gator at the fort or bay area? We've gone for 15-16 years and never seen one. Of course I haven't gone out to the dam area at night.
And of course gators may suck more in coming years with their new coach. As may the Dawgs and Gamecocks.

A-HA! The latest TCD list corresponds to my experience with the missing channels all having HD in their titles, and the upper channels having SD in THEIR titles.
Now, at River Plantation (Sevierville TN) one of my TVs searches and finds all analog stations and the other finds only digital stations. About 60 similar or equal stations in each set, except a few of the analog stations are snowy. "Discuss among yourselves."

The rig looks good. Safe travels.

I don't see anything odd about having a HD product. I also see brand name bread, milk, bologna, and frozen dinners, among other things.

Like the thugs who steal or hijack a car which is then found a few blocks or miles away, wrecked. Disgusting!

His nose looks smaller, hers larger. I'm into the conspiracy theory angle. I don't care for the darker skin tone or mouth changes, either. No opinion on the eyes yet.

We once slept 12 in a 28 footer enroute...with no bunk beds and no air mattresses. Once we got to the Fort, five of them slept in a side room on hi-rise air mattresses. And 8 of the total were kids/babies. These days it's 4-5 max.

Kdeg, There is golf cart parking at the Outpost bus depot and at the Settlement, both near the bus depot and at the Marina near the boat dock. As well as other convenience locations around the Fort. Also bike racks (maybe not to convenient with triplets ). We strap car seats on the rear seat of our golf cart for two of ours who need such support. Do you use a triple stroller, by any chance?
Also, the term "ferry" at WDW refers to the large two story ferryboat that runs between the Ticket and Transportation Center (TTC) and the dock at the magic Kingdom (MK) across Seven Seas Lagoon. Other, smaller boats runs to resort locations on Bay Lake and Seven Seas Lagoon and to the MK.
And big WELCOME to our big happy and often snarky family.

We have three in wheelchairs, 3, 18, and soon 20. We have stayed (among other locations) in 1400 with the rear of the MH toward the meadows movie venue, and stayed in 1200 with the rear toward the road near the 4-way stop. In neither location was there excessive noise, although with a hybrid, the bus traffic around the 4-way stop might be objectionable in the early morning. The wheelchair might be advisable for most travel around the Fort. Some distances can be unexpectedly taxing, especially in the heat...or rain.

Understood and agreed - basically we want to be able to get us adults out at one end and if need be, back in on the other end to extract kids. I think going around would be the best plan considering where fires are likely.
And don't forget your keys when you run around to the front.

I saw the top of our MH a few years back in the 1200 loop...at least according to the date on the Google, we would have been there in that site at that time.

Remember the hand held fire extinguishers are primarily for blocking the fire so you can get out. Only the smallest fires can actually be successfully fought inside.
Our fear is for our three wheelchair dependent children...one in the rear and two near the front door. But none could get themselves out. And I can't see either of us leaving them inside.

And Yuri never found these?

I have a friend on another forum who recently downsized from a popup to an Aliner, with dormers and an airconditioner. Kids were on their own and the popup was just too large for the two of them. He seems very happy with his choice. He may have been one you saw recently at the Fort.

We've spent the past 15 or so Decembers at the Fort. Some times we only go into the parks 4-5 times, rarely more than 10-15 times. We do a lot of looping and just looking around. The kids love it with an occasional trip to Winn Dixie or WalMart. A trip to a Trading Post for a newspaper and some ice cream makes their day. Some days we just ride some Disney transportation and look for deer or whatever. A month at the Fort is awesome with or without the parks.

3-4 years ago on Christmas Day I decided to take our son to the MK. We were told on the boat the park was closed. We elected to take the Monorail to EPCOT. When we got there, we saw the crowds below us and just stayed on the Monorail and returned to the Fort. It killed a couple of hours and he enjoyed the "rides".

Having taken a Lightning Protection Course when I worked for the Corps of Engineers, this looks like a port of last resort if no other shelter is available.
I made it, I Fount it, we're here!!!!

Doug, Not sure I understand your gray/black tank situation. You say you have two gray tanks...but no black? Why do you have a black outlet if you have no black tank? Do you have a toilet plumbed through the floor? ..into a tank? Do you have two gray outlets and a black outlet? Are the two gray outlets close together? Inquiring minds want to know...or just nosy.
