  1. We will be camping at River Plantation April 3-12, 2015.  That is our kid's Spring Break.  Looking forward to be there again.  Prices are reasonable too.  I made our reservation  this week......9 nights    RV Site  Full Hook Up 50 amp pull thru  4 adults and 1 baby.  Total for the 9 nights:$417.39.   Well worth it.  We also asked for a site we have used before that is right at the Bath House/Laundry.  They have reserved it for us.   You all would enjoy being there.  And it is very convenient to the Outlet Mall, Dollywood and lots of restaurants, etc.

They do have cabins also.  The smaller, cheaper ones have a set of bunk beds and 1 dbl. bed, A/C, Microwave and small fridge.  You have to furnish your own linens.

The larger ones, more expensive, have a kitchen and bath also.

  2. I HATE football....especially when I am right. I have said all season that my Alabama team does not know how to plan 4 quarters and today was no different. And when you have 11 players on the field and only 4 of them do most of the playing, something is seriously wrong. Alabama did not deserve to win this game. The team that played today do not deserve to play for the National Championship. Now I will be pulling for Oregon. Better luck next year Alabama. I still love them but I am not happy with them right now. LOL

  3. I am looking forward to the Auburn/Wisconsin game also. I think Auburn will win it but some others disagree with me. I

think they will win by more than my dear husband does and he is an Auburn Grad. I am still thinking my alma mater will be National Champs this year but we shall see. I think Oregon will beat FSU but one never knows.

All my sisters and my children make predictions on the Alabama and Auburn games and I give a gift to the winner at the end. It is an all new game on January 1. Thus far all of them have picked Alabama and Auburn except for my son, Joey. He says he can never pick Auburn Or Aubum as he calls them. LOL It is all in fun.

  4. Remember that the 10% discount for AP holders does NOT apply to most of the "fast" food places in the parks. Not sure

about the restaurants like BOG, etc. because we never eat there. Shawnee loves Cosmic Rays, Pecos Bills, The Commissionary, The Electric Umbrealla, etc. so that is where we usually eat. We want our boy to be happy.

  5. I realize most of you are much younger than we are so walking is easier on you. Us old folks have a hard time doing too much walking. Pushing the 3 wheel chairs helps me as it gives me something to hold on to when walking. We have enjoyed having oI our own golf cart especially when I have LARGE loads of laundry that is too much for our small washer in the RV.

The kids also love "looping" especially during the holidays when there are decorations. It really comes in handy. But if you like to use a bicycle then I would suggest you continue to do so. It is great exercise. My grandson brought his this

week and he is enjoying it. I think anything you use at the Fort will be fun. ENJOY!

  6. We have been caught when the park closed.  The boats from the Fort all knew about it.  It happened to our family on the 31st.  I took Melissa and Darby to the boat and she checked and he said it was open to those staying on property and/or with annual passes.  She had both.  So they went straight in and had a ball because everyone was celebrating the parades, etc. and she and Darby rode all the rides as many times as they wanted.   Christmas Day, we know not to try and get near the parks.
