  1. We like the location of POR. You can walk between there and POFQ. If you say at POR, you're allowed to pool hop to POFQ too! The boat ride to DD is fun! And their food court is pretty good too (better than the Value Resort foodcourts, IMO) But, remember the only reason that the rooms sleep 5, is because of a tiny trundle bed that slides under the other bed. It's only for kids under 9 years old, because it's so small.
  2. Well, I know I LOOK like I've eaten at every restaurant at Disney. But, here's the ones I can think of: EPCOT: Biergarten Le Cellier Garden Grill Sunshine Food Court China San Angel Inn Cantina Norway (before it was princess) Teppenyaki Sushi place in Japan Chefs de France Fish & Chips stand in England Morocco Burgers at America Magic Kingdom: Crystal Palace Liberty Tree Tavern Casey's Hot Dogs Pecos Bills Electric Umbrella Burger place in Tomorrowland Resorts: Boma (AKL) Citricos (GF) Cape May Cafe (BC) Whispering Canyon (WL) Trails End (FW) Hoop Dee Doo (FW) Kona Cafe (Poly) 'Ohana (Pol
  3. oooh - great idea! I wish i would have thought of that when our son was little! Maybe that will work with DH! lol
  4. Nothing compares to FW. It's consistently voted the best campground in America (according to popular guidebooks). The campsites are nice, the comfort stations are clean and well maintained, all your neighbors are in good moods because they're at Disney! You don't even need to go into the parks - just enjoy the campground! Lots to do: you can go biking, fishing, play tennis, basketball, tetherball, go canoeing, hiking, play in the arcade, shop in the trading posts, horseback riding, hayride, pony rides for little ones, eat at the Trail's End, sit on a rocking chair outside Crockett's Tave
  5. oh yeah - the arcade! My son and DH used to have to go in there every time we passed it, and play the 2-person racing game. That's probably still there. It was tradition for them.
  6. Yes! I had a couple that did this last year - and they had a great time!! They were exhausted by the end of the second day, but then got to relax for a few days afterwards! LOL
  7. Our son used to love to play tetherball with DH! That was the first thing he wanted to do when we arrived! He'd jump out and run immediately to the tetherball pole! (We always stayed in 1500) Of course, this was 20 years ago!! Is the tetherball even still there? I haven't looked lately...
  8. It's not TOO German. There are other things that everyone would like too. I'm sure you would all be stuffed when you waddled out! lol
  9. You're right Carol! Until Disney figures this out -- many people are taking advantage of it! I had 3 people last year who did this!! Thanks!
  10. Another vote for Carousel of Progress! And I love the Wedway People Mover/Tomorrowland Transit Authority. Rockin' Rollercoaster is my favorite "fast" ride. Peter Pan is my favorite nostalgic ride. :siren:
  11. It's on my list!!! Thanks for the great review!
  12. I know! We used to love Biergarten for the lunch buffet, but the price is out of control!! We won't eat there again.
  13. Sure! It's a minimum of 3 nights, room and base tickets, and the kids' tickets are free! You can add on options to the tickets (park hopping, water parks, no exp) and you can also add the dining plan. These options are not free for kids though. Let me know if you have specific dates you'd like a quote for!
  14. Oh - the dinosaurs in Dinosaur really scare me!
  15. LOL -- next time keep your eyes open!!! He's really cool! I think the special effects are some of Disney's best on EE.
  16. Yes - you can buy and refill your mugs at the Boardwalk Bakery! But again, it's down on the Boardwalk, so it's a little bit of a walk.
  17. They will move the campers to another resorts, if it looks like a hurricane is going to hit WDW. We had friends that were tent camping, and they were moved to Pop Century.
  18. We've stayed there a couple of times, and loved it! A little too expensive for us most of the time, but I got a good TA rate those times. We were just in a Standard View room, but we looked over a nice garden area - very pretty! I would love to stay in one of the Garden Suites sometime - those look beautiful!! The location of the Boardwalk is great - like Carol said! Walk to Hollywood Studios, or Epcot. Or take the boat. There are no onsite restaurants -- you have to go down to the Boardwalk for that. But then you have a few choices: ESPN Club, Big River Grille, Kouzzina (great breakf
