  1. I was hesitating to respond to Dave's - "breast" deal comment - I'm a new fiend so need to be ladylike for a bit longer. Then...gloves are off :)
  2. Thanks Pam. It seems obvious now :-) I need to giddy-up-n-git me some
  3. CKCK - beer sounds good. I have no idea what HTT is - but I'll trust you
  4. You can come over and share my GAG Kelly. (That just sound weird!)
  5. Crud - I camp alone so who will set up camp for me? I remember those days though!
  6. I need some help from you seasoned fiends. What the heck is GAG? And somewhere on this site I though I saw a thread about arrival and departure rituals. Now I can't find it. Anyone? Thanks!
  7. I have REALLY enjoyed reading your TR! Your redheads are adorable! Thanks for all the food description - now I'm hungry!
  8. What a great post! I have never stayed at the GF, but always go over at Christmas to see the gingerbread. It was a tradition when my kids were small. Gorgeous place!
  9. Good feed back. Thanks! I am going in just a couple of weeks so I think it will be crowded. Are the "floor seats" the best?
  10. Hi all, I am thinking about going to the Hoop-dee-Doo for the first time in probably 20 years. As a solo camper, any recommendations for you experts on which times you prefer to go to the show? 4:00? 6:15? 8:30? Any benefits choosing one over the other? Thanks!!
  11. I leave in a week to camp across the swampiest part of Florida to the swampiest part of Louisiana. I found a product on a camping blog called Cactus Juice. Folks were raving about it and how well it keeps yellow flies and mosquitos away. AND it smells nice! It's hard to find locally, but Amazon sells it. They have one that also has sunscreen in it (SFP20) which is what I ordered. It really smells great. Haven't tested it yet, but will put it through the ringer soon.
  12. Thanks for your post! I've never been to the water parks, glad to know they reserve spots. Sounds like a great trip!
  13. Oh, Lou, think you probably have plenty of "character" :)
  14. Hi Lou, Sunday July 28th. I had never heard of this until I saw your post. Actually, until I joined this group - I thought I knew a LOT about WDW. Now, I see there's still so much to discover!! BTW - I really get a kick out of reading your posts!! Amanda
  15. Could I get this person's contact information? Thanks!!
  16. HI Sparrow, I am also fairly new to Fiends - nice bunch and the posts are fun to read. I also solo camp - will be there in a few weeks. It will acutally be my final hurrah of a solo tent trip across to Louisiana and back (3 weeks). You will love the Fort solo. I am empty nest now and am still surprised how much I enjoy wandering the parks and the Fort on my own. Have a wonderful trip!!
  17. Thank you for posting this! I didn't know about it. I will be there in a few weeks so booked a seat. What a great price! Thanks!!!
  18. Hi, I am also a new fiend. I wish I'd seen this before you left. I am also a tent camper and have camped at FW in tents for over 20 years. I am now an empty nester and still camp in a tent :-) As you have noted, the rain is the biggest problem camping in the summer. I find it more challenging than the bugs. Hope you have a wonderful time. I will be there next month - probably in the rain. Just keep going and have a laugh.
