I've tent camped at the preferred sites. What I did was use the paved section and then run long rope lines to the edge of the pavement to secure the bottom of the tent. Covered with a rug so I didn't trip over them. Worked great. Was there for a week. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I have stayed for just 1 night. In fact I did it in January- wanted to see the Osborne Lights for the last time. It was on a Sunday and no holiday connected to it. So I think timing has more to do with it than anything else. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I just wrote out a long update from yesterday, and something froze and it's gone! I'm lying in my hammock. It's my last night of my 23 day camping trip. I'm pretty much out of food, except for some pickles. I think I will ride my bike up and get ONE FINAL Lone Ranger. Cumulatively, I think I'm approaching a GAG.

Shrimp. What was I thinking? Yep tent camping in the heat. Pretty much the only chunks of time I get off. I manage. Have a little 6" clip on fan I move around and use at night. :D

I'm at the Settlement right now. Going for mashed potatoes and mac and cheese. It won't be the same as duck wings. :D

First, I see the Tag Fiend has been up to his/her tricks again. Today (Saturday) was EMHs at Hollywood Studios, but somehow, I didn't get up that early. (It had nothing to do with the bottomless sangrias the night before). I made it to HS by a little after 9:00 and headed to TSM to get a fast pass. I'd never seen it before because the FP were usually gone by the time I got over there - so today...I had a plan! Got my FP at 9:20 with a return time of 3:15! Oh well, I promised to do a lot of "firsts" today, so no worries. Walked past Capt.Jack Sparrow (another first) no line, so just walked in
