I think I asked before, but what lens are you using to get your dim light shots and not have blurs.
For my really dark shots I use an f/1.4 50mm prime lens.

Does your daughter have anything to do with the awesome rock I found on our picnic table? If so, please tell her thank you for me!

Absolutely. If you want to try and catch a bite to eat let me know. We are pretty flexible and have live in babysitters. 🤗
Kristi, we rarely go out to breakfast except for breakfast at Trail's End. On Monday I have a friend coming in through Friday. Maybe after she leaves we can have a meal together.

Wow!
Have to say... I like that better, than the huge haunted house over halloween 🙂
I did like a couple of the skeleton scenes though. A couple of those were pretty cute.

If you guys think it's cool now, wait until I can take pics of it at night. It's amazing!

We actually did but stayed in Ormond Beach for a few days before checking into the Fort. Also the sweatshirt was from 5 years ago not 11. Travel does weird things to the brain. Hope we can chat a bit more when It's not so cold out and I have had some coffee and sleep 😉
Kristie, it was great to meet you last night. Hope we can spend more time together before we both have to leave.

This morning's progress on the castle on 703:
And the carriage:
Today they are adding lights and other details. But until I get my new camera next week I can't take any nighttime photos..=

But will cost you an extra $5.... 😂
With what this camera is costing me, I'm not gonna worry about it!

Depending on what you need for a replacement, it's a good time of year. Quite a few deals out there for Christmas.
I just found a deal! New Nikon D7500 will arrive at the Fort on Monday!

It's official.
I killed it.
A moment of silence, please.
The shutter on my DSLR is worn out. I've taken too many photos.
Thankfully I brought my point and shoot with me.

Dang Gwen, you and David sure know how to bring folks out of the woodwork! First it was the tent city, now Cindy has chosen to take up residence at the Fort!
Are tent dwellers gone?
Tent city left today, thankfully. I'm excited to see what the end result is across the street.

And today we finally got to meet rtguy007 and his two beautiful children! They came by just as we were finishing dinner. Such a great family. Hope many of you will have the opportunity to meet them!
And this was after a great visit with the crabby ex-bus driver.
The people across the street from us on 703 are building a castle in front of their motorhome. And they have a life-size Cinderella's carriage replica. Can't wait to see it all finished.

Your pictures are amazing! Thanks so much for sharing.
Thank you, Robin! I have many more to share, but vacation just keeps getting in the way of me finding time to process them.

I feel you there. We are heading down to Ft Myers tomorrow to check it out. Trying to convince my wife to move to Fl when we retire.
Hope you didn't get stuck in the horrible traffic coming back like we did. Took us about 2.5 hours to get back to the Fort from Brandon. About twice as long as usual.

Great pics!
We rode FoP today. The wait time on the app was 210 minutes. Luckily, we had FP's. When we were exiting we got behind some people who had bailed on the standby line. They were irate....saying they had been in line for 4 hours and were going to get a refund.
How did they think Disney would refund them?

We ended up at the pool. The kids were itching to swim
Good for them!
Tomorrow morning we're having brunch at TE at 9. Then driving to Brandon to visit my aunt. Should be home by mid-afternoon. Will message you my phone number. If the cart is gone and you can come by, call me and we'll hurry back.
-
Yes, but David is taking a shower and shaving. Not a good time to drop by.

Gwen, I've been by your site so many times. Either the car or the cart is gone each time.
We've been by your site many times too!

That is true we have done that week also, but if you go the week after that it's a little better.
We'll `be here for 2.5 more weeks, so hopefully we will see some slow park days!!

I’m in! Great pictures!
The tents are ridiculous. Have you talked to the desk? I’m just curious what they’d say.
If you love Tutto Italia, I highly recommend the wine bar next door. Great small plates!
Thanks. No, we didn't talk to the desk. When we got home last night, the carts and extra cars were gone I have a feeling another Fiend who's also on 700 talked to them.
12 hours ago, Grumpy and Grandma said:Next week is usually a much better week. We did the week after for numerous years and it wasn't bad.
That's what we're hoping for!
8 hours ago, Okieatheart said:I hope they're gone when I get there. I don't want them stealing my parking place when I'm visiting at your site!
Jean Ann, I'm praying they leave on Sunday! Although I must say they've been quieter and calmer than I anticipated.

Update. As of this morning, they've added one more tent and one more canopy to their site. One family tried to park their golf cart on our site, and I gave them the evil eye. Tonight both carts are gone, and two cars are also gone. Hope they don't come back!
I must say that this is a rather quiet group, especially late at night. That's a blessing.
This afternoon we went to Animal Kingdom. It's the first time we've seen the park at night. I took almost 300 pictures, so it's gonna take me awhile to sort through them all. We spent some time in Pandora and then saw Finding Nemo. David and I agreed that the show has changed since we last saw it. Anyone else have comments?
We saw Rivers of Light for the first time. I'd read a lot of negative comments about it and didn't know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised. David thought it was so-so.
What really disappointed me was Pandora at night. It was dark and boring! Overall Animal Kingdom was boring in the dark.
But I must say they have the best nighttime Christmas tree! Unfortunately my camera battery died, and I didn't get a photo of it. Loved the red and white lights.

Yesterday we had a great time at DHS. Then we came home to discover a large group invaded three sites around us. I feel like we're living in tent city.
From what I can tell, the first site has 6 tents, 3 canopies, 4 picnic tables, and lots of other assorted junk. I'm gonna go down the dog walk this morning and try to get a picture from the back if the site.
The site next door to us, who is graciously letting them store their golf carts.
And finally the site across the street from us, where they are storing part of their cars:
The frustrating thing is that if David and I so much as touch a blade of grass Security is here telling us to move the offender. Apparently these people can do whatever they want to do.
A Day Late and Much More than a Dollar Short!

Thank you all for coming by tonight, and thank you again for the rock! You have a wonderful family, and it's been a joy getting to know you. Hopefully our paths will cross again.
