  1. We haven't read Trailer Life in years, have never had a subscription to it ... but, lo and behold, the May issue appeared in our mailbox today!

The author says she has become a Fort Fiend.  Does that mean she's actually joined here, or she's just claiming the title by association without knowing anything about our group?  And isn't "Fort Fiends" trademarked?

That's why even as an out of stater, I refuse to go to the parks without a annual pass. I HATE that feeling of this ticket is burnt up if I don't use it that day to the fullest. With an annual pass, we can book our 3 FP+ for later in the day, do those attractions, wander a bit, have a meal, and head back to the retreat of the Fort or wander another resort. I feel no need or no desire to spend hours in a park if it's too crowded. We also do not renew every year. We purchase a new annual pass every couple of years.

Carol, I so agree with you!  We also purchase an annual pass every two years.  Go one year for a month, go the next year for a month the month before our passes expire.  So we get two months' admission on each AP.

  3. For those of you who haven't seen my FaceBook posts, Gabe and his team won the SC AAAAA state basketball championship again this year!  David and I were fortunate to attend the game last Friday night at Colonial Life Arena in Columbia, SC.  I ordered several copies of the Spartanburg SC newspaper yesterday and can't wait to see them, but I think this photo of Gabe was featured on the sports page:

And if anyone would like to see highlights of the game, here's a link:  Dorman vs Irmo 5A State Championship Game

It's great to be the grandmother of a two-time state champion!

But they did expand the golf cart parking area at Pioneer Hall about three years ago, and as mentioned a few posts above, the Outpost golf cart parking area has recently been expanded.

If you stop and think how much profit Disney must be making on golf cart rentals, there is no way they are going to cut back on that. Seriously, it costs way more to rent a Disney golf cart than it does to rent a car.

Great to hear that the Outpost parking has been expanded!

On our last trip (4 weeks in the Fort) we rented a car for the entire trip.  Cost us around $900 for an SUV.  Renting a cart would have cost over twice that.  That's why we bring our cart and rent a car.
