  1. I checked on the Disney Website. Its a 15 % Discount. Fridays and Saturdays are $338.30 and Sun-Thurs are $295.80. The price actually would be $2,425 for 7 nights. If you didn't have a camper I guess the suite would seem a better deal! LOL! Two preferred rooms at All Star Music ($1050 each) or two standard rooms at Pop($1005 each) are actually cheaper than the suite. We are taking our daughter and her family so what we get into is having to have two rooms or a suite.Suite would be nice for the kids because of the mini kitchen. But... then you get back to if you are going to cook why cook in a
  2. For 6 of us in a suite the price with the summer discount would still be $ 2,400 From Saturday to Saturday(7 nights). We have reserved camping from Thursday to Saturday(9nights) for $1080 and a golf cart for $439. Even $300 for extra gas to pull the camper it is still alot cheaper to camp. My husband sees the suite not having as much as our camper does. Its just got one bed up and you have to make the other two. It has a mini Kitchen.(Small sink, Microwave, Small Fridge)My camper has a full kitchen inside and outside. I have one Queen bed in the bedroom, One almost full size bed over the outdo
  3. I have to admit I am a little tempted with the discount! But.... I still have my reservation at the Fort! In fact I even made a reservation at AOA but then cancelled. I can't decide if the grandchildren (4 and 1)would like the Fort or AOA the best. Which would be the easiest? My 4 yr old grandson loves the Disney Cars movies and has collected a basket full of them. But... he also loves the outdoors, water slides, his bike, playground. He would love staying in the Cars Suites. But.. I think it would be easier riding the boats to Magic Kingdom than taking the bus. Because of the grandchildren an

  5. Taking our camper and staying at the Fort is probably the biggest way we save money when going to Disney. Especially when our trips are over July 4th. Last fall we went to Disney during a value season with free dining and stayed at a value resort. That saved alot. As far as the food we save some by eating at our camper. If we are at the camper and it is breakfast or lunch before we leave for a theme park we eat at the camper unless we have a reservation somewhere to eat. If we are leaving the parks at dinner time we usually wait until we get back to the camper. That saves. But meals don't a
  6. I keep everything in my camper packed except my clothes, and perishable food items. Every now and then I get an idea to change everything, to make it better! But.... everything always seems to go back to the way I had it in the first place! LOL! You would think I would learn! Sometimes I do an inventory and take something out I've never used! For instance I had a small hand held mixer in my cabinet! Then on the other hand I was looking in my kitchen pantry and saw a griddle I never use and thought... Should I put that in the camper? LOL! Would be great when I make alot of pancakes!Sometimes we
  7. I've not seen either one! Just ate at the Craker Barrel Sunday! But... I can't buy them I've only got about 8 more weeks to save for Disney! I CAN'T SHOP! Don't tempt me! LOL!
  8. Really! Well... so much for a locked gate! LOL! Kidding aside, My husband wondered if that was something that Disney had in mind to put up everywhere! Maybe for safety reasons for children.
  9. I know they have the Pizza and the Chicken to go! But it would be nice if they offered food to go from their buffet. Something like $10 for one meat and two vegetables, like they do at the food courts! Like moms night out! I would buy it! But maybe theres not enough that would! Is there a place at the Fort to get hand dipped ice cream?
  10. Years ago you could use the other pools at resorts but I guess they needed to stop that and give an extra perk to the DVC members. I for one never found the time to go swimming at another resort other than my own. Especially with the water parks now. It is still allowed at the All Star value resorts(Sports, Music, Movies). I read a question on Disneys Moms Panel from someone at the fort visiting parents at Wilderness lodge if they could visit them and swim at the lodge and they said yes. But the other day I saw the same question from a person staying at Pop visiting family at AOA and they an
  11. This has not been answered in awhile but thought I would answer anyway. I don't clean all the time but I do like to clean inside and outsideof camper enough to keep the ants, bees and flies away! LOL! I have to be and keep things put away and organized a little bit or it would drive me crazy! I love the plastic bins from Walmart! I do like to make my beds in the morning, keep my dishes and pots and pans clean & put away, (try to use paper plates, cups, plastic silverware), keep our camper and rug out front sweeped off, wet towels & bathing suits hung up, dirty laundry in a hamper, th
