  1. Melissa, loved your take on the WWW! We'll definitely be there next year too!

Judy, some of us may be a little beyond the coconut bra's! Maybe we need to look into a female version of this awesome watermelon apparatus!

I figure as long as you can cover the "nips" with the coconut, we're good! :rofl2:

 As fun as both of these options sound...., I think I'll save everyone's retinas and wear clothing. Lots of clothing....

  2. I think the neighbors sat outside to try to hear WHAT we were laughing at. I'm fairly certain they could hear us laughing inside their campers, even with their air on! It's amazing that we didn't get a visit from security!!

One of the funniest things I saw was a father and his daughter (maybe 7 yrs old?) riding their bikes past the site. The daughter asked him what all those things were hanging from the tent. He just grinned and tried to hold back a chuckle when he told her it was bras and panties. I had the good fortune of walking past them while this happened. He just looked at me and smiled real big. I think he actually blushed a little, too.

  3. I had such a great time! It was awesome finally meeting Kim and Lorna, Christy, Holly, Missy and everyone!! I can't wait to see you all again at next year's WWW!!

I learned a lot on this trip. I learned that even if you're a "ho no mo"; once a ho, always a ho. Also, we learned about sporking and jack off cakes. We learned about butt plugs and barrells. We discussed bladder incontinence and establishing tie-dying depends as the new craft at the pool this summer. After an embarrassing little gc battery incident with Karla and I requesting help from Angie, Karla and I became known as Idiot 1 and Idiot 2. The weekend was a whole lotta knowlege being dropped!! BAM!!!

I laughed so hard, my ribs were sore! I'm pretty sure I was laughing even in my sleep. When I wasn't laughing, I was enjoying all the wonderful food. Lorna made the BEST fried chicken I think I've ever had! And Karla's pulled pork and Ami's casserole were fantastic!!! In fact, I think the only time we were quiet was when we were eating... The drinks weren't bad either. Sorry to all the ladies who wanted more mojitos, but were denied because I drank almost the whole jug. I will make sure we get 2 next time.

It was the best time I have had in forever!! I can't wait to do it again next year. I miss all you wonderfully awesome women already (and Donnie, too)!!

  4. Anybody who knows me, knows my dh is not a fan of Disney. That being said, in order to get him to go on vacation, we need to go to places other than Disney. I know...perish the thought, but it's true. So, when my hubby said he wanted to go away, I didn't wait around for him to change his mind, as is typical for him. (His last vacation was 4 years ago...an Eastern Caribbean cruise on RCCI) I gave him 4 choices of places to go (no, Disney wasn't one of them...I know better). I contacted Rhonda and asked for pricing. She got back to me almost instantly!! We chose Punta Cana and the planning began. Rhonda handled EVERYTHING for us from the air reservations, to the hotel and all-inclusive package, to the airport/hotel transfers and trip insurance. She also made a reservation for us at a hotel near our departure airport the night before our VERY early morning flight. Every detail was taken care. And...from what we were told by other guests at the hotel who had been to PC many times and stayed in several different resorts... our travel agent chose a GREAT resort for us for our first time there!!! The resort was AMAZING!!! We had the best time and we can't wait to go back! When we do, we will be booking through Rhonda again!! I cannot recommend her enough! Thanks, Rhonda!! You're the best!!

  5. So, hubby felt so bad for me that I hadn't seen Ami and Amanda in almost 2 yrs that he surprised me with a trip to Williamsburg.  I guess he really does love me.  I wish I had met all the rest of the Fiends, but we will do another GG.  We still want to to do Gettysburg.

  6. I left a message and asked for a refund. GC just called back and they're crediting the deposit back to my credit card. From what she said, it's still uncertain if they'll open and she apologized for the inconvienence. When I spoke to her yesterday I asked "so if i want to be sure we have a place this weekend I should make other arrangements" Her answer was Yes so I called Granite Hill.

DH & DD10 are bound and determined we're going to camp this weekend, so camping we are. Williamsburg sounds wonderful but there's a possibility that DH will need another cardiac cath in the next couple weeks so I'm going to stay closer to home for now. Gettysburg is only 30-40 mins so that works for me this trip.

Maybe we could get together in Williamsburg sometime later in the spring/summer with everyone. That sounds like it could be fun too!

Many prayers for good health for your husband!

  7. Gettysburg Campground returned my call and refunded me 100% of my deposit.  I feel so bad for them.  They must be losing a small fortune this weekend.  They were very nice on the phone and apologized to me for the inconvenience.  They apologized for something that was totally out of their control!  I told them we will visit them later this summer or fall.  What a nice bunch of people!  My heart goes out to them.

  8. I have tried to call Gettysburg Campground several times this morning.  Keep getting their answering machine.  I finally left a message.  I hope they refund my $.  I am so upset about not being able to camp this weekend, I really could cry.

I just called also and also got the machine I am sure they are really busy trying to reopen, I hope they refund us also I already paid for 2 nights, if not at least a credit for another time.

Yes, a credit would work, too.  I DO want to visit Gettysburg this year.  Especially since it's the 150th anniversary.  Maybe we can get another GG together later this summer or fall.

  9. I have tried to call Gettysburg Campground several times this morning.  Keep getting their answering machine.  I finally left a message.  I hope they refund my $.  I am so upset about not being able to camp this weekend, I really could cry.

  10. Well...after much arguing in this house...it looks like we won't be able to join you guys.  We had to make some difficult decisions tonight, and this weekend was one of them.  I really wanted to meet all of you.  I am SO sorry.  I hope you all can forgive me.

  11. I just spoke iwth the owners of Drumer Boy Campground.  If Getttysburg Campground is not going to be able to reopen, Drummer Boy will be able to accomodate and work with us.  I am going camping this weekend come hell or high water and would love some company from other fiends.  Besides what is camping with out dirt and mud?

I am of of work tommorrow and plan on calling Gettysburg Campground to get an update on what their plan is for the weekend.

I think the problem is with the Marsh Creek overflowing its banks.  With more rain on the way, I don't see it helping the situation much.  I would be happy to go to Drummer Boy.  And I agree, I'm going camping this weekend, come hell or .... well... not high water at Gettysburg CG.

(editing to add that my hubby just doesn't want to be under water.  Gettysburg is still good.  )
