  1. You're too kind! I mostly shoot a ton and get lucky too. I abandoned the SLR ages ago for the same reasons - just didn't want to lug it around the parks and worry about the expensive lenses. This past trip I had a new Fujifilm FinePix JZ300. It's got a super zoom on it for point and shoot, but I'm not too thrilled with the image quality overall and it's pretty lousy at night. I still have my Sony DSC-S780 and am seriously considering switching back to it. It has nowhere near the zoom but the picture quality is terrific and it takes awesome nighttime shots. Both are tiny enough to fit in a
  2. 300 is our fave. In particular the sites about halfway through on the outside. Sites are spaced nicely because of the curve (sort of pie shaped), many of them either back up to the nice grassy dog walk along the canal or a very private hedge. Close to the dog walk, not far from the dog park, and a reasonable walk to the marina/Settlement.
  3. Ok now I'm totally befuddled (as opposed to my natural state of just partially befuddled) I do see the hidden Mickey though!
  4. We have to warn people that if you get to close, this innocent little face turns into an ear cleaning hat...
  5. Everything I've read so far says the menu is staying the same for now at least.
  6. Well said!! Don't be that inconsiderate pet owner that ruins it for the rest of us. We camp with 3 pups and you know what - I hate barking dogs and coming across stray poo as much as the next person.
  7. Hey were you on the 300 loop Dec 2nd too? That was our last night. It was 32 degrees and 5 rental campers packed full of kids (all apparently together in a group) pulled in. Tag started around 8pm and continued to 12:30. And because they couldn't get all the campers right next to each other, they were scattered about our end of the loop, which meant "tag" took place racing from camper to camper. DH and I were laying in bed at midnight under the blankets with the heat on, listening to the little demons shrieking and we said, "yep - time to go home!" :rofl2:
  8. ...or in the case of the 9 high school seniors camping across from us in November.... please don't slam the 17 (?!?!?!) doors on your car at 2am!
  9. Posted to the Disney Parks blog today... Personally Mitsukoshi rates pretty low on the WDW sushi scale. #1 in my book is California Grill... Next up would be the Kona sushi bar, followed closely by Kimonos at the Swan. Kona rocks because you can pretty much walk up and grab a seat much of the time. The chef there used to work at CG and over the past year they've expanded the menu to add a couple of new rolls. The selection isn't huge, but what they make is delicious. We just tried Kimonos for the first time in November (still digging out the pics). Another "walk in and sit down with an
  10. Not sure how many of you all have seen this. I *think* it was taken this year and there are some pretty interesting tidbits in here.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q4JwgmPEIDQ
  11. This is what the area looked like in November... The tarps are finally down and this CS restaurant has gotten a face lift and a new name "Tortuga Tavern." Menu is reportedly the same - tacos, burritos, taco salad... Word has it that it may now be open more than just seasonally too. It's been closed every time we've been there - anyone ever eaten here?
  12. We got a peek over the construction walls in November from the river boat, but back then it was just a big pile of dirt and not much to see... Update posted today on WDW Magic... http://www.wdwmagic.com/Attractions/Haunted-Mansion/News/15Feb2011-PHOTOS---Haunted-Mansion-queue-area-expansion.htm
