  1. Alright, this is your last chance to give me loop request advice. Based off answers from 7 months ago I am thinking 1400, 900, 500, who knows. This is based off what we are planning to do and the CS : campsite ratio given in last post. Now we are down to the wire and I am looking for any additional input. We have two children celebrating birthdays (9 & 6) 5 days at parks 2 days at fort plan to swim most every day Campfire and movies when not dead tired Have bikes, will ride TT, don't mind showering in it Arrive April 27 Thanks, Mike
  2. I can't say that the shop won't do a good job, but using a pneumatic grease gun or whatever machine they are using is what will cause the problems. With the ez-lube axle the grease travels through the spindle and the out a hole between the inner bearing and the seal. You keep pumping grease until the new grease pushes out all the old grease and you see the new stuff coming out around the zerk. This is why you have to spin the wheel, if you don't the grease would not go through all the bearing, just the point where the hole is. Now the problem with using anything other than a hand pumped grease
  3. As said above, if the shop was going to do it for $45/axle (not wheel) and they were going to hand pack them, I would have them do it. Making sure they inspect the hub and brakes while they have it off. If they are just going to do the grease gun, it is not worth it.
  4. I just repacked mine with the help of a friend that is a mechanic, now I know how to do it. It is not hard, about 30 min per wheel. The local shop charges $52/wheel to do it. My trailer has a dexter axle with the ez-lube but I still pulled the hubs and hand packed them. I talked to the people at dexter and they told me the pumping is not a substitute for pulling and repacking. The ez-lube are designed more for a marine application to pump in more grease to displace water that may get in. If you do just the pumping method, be sure to spin the wheel as you do it, pump slowly, and have about 1.5
  5. Does anyone have this month's schedule? Thanks, Mike
  6. Thanks for assuring me in that. I really noticed the flex the last couple of times I backed it in our driveway. Worried me at first but then considered the tandem and figured it couldn't pivot on both wheels so it must be normal.
  7. Is it a tandem axle? I could be wrong, and please correct me if I am, but the trailer cannot pivot on the four wheels of a tandem. So, one of the wheels on each side may drag a little in turns while backing up. Thus causing a dragging and pop/creaking noise. That is what I see on mine, especially when backing in our driveway with sprayed concrete (catches the wheel easily). As I said, I could very easily be wrong. I am repacking my bearings Thursday morning so I will see if there is something the matter on mine or if it is just too hard to pivot on the tandem.
  8. +1. Just hold em in the fire when you are done and burn everything off. Handle stays plenty cool for kids hands.
  9. For wireless needs: long coax cable 50', short coax cable 6', cheap wireless router. Anything else?
  10. Real question - Can propane cylinders be refilled at the fort?
  11. Do I have to bring my own trailer or will Disney just assign me one when I get there (still haven't gotten an answer to that FL or CA question)? If I have to tow my own down there, will Disney reimburse me for the gas?
  12. Just to make sure I plan for all contingencies and keep my family safe, when was the last time the Fort came under attack? Just to make sure I turn the correct way out of my driveway, is the Fort at the Disney in Florida or California?
  13. I decided to build one of these with mending plates, hex bolts, and emt conduit. Cost about $20. Thanks.
  14. I just want to tie a piece of rope between two trees. I have seen those that attach to the bumper.
  15. Thanks, now I can cross clothes drying rack off my "do we need?" list.
  16. Thanks, now I can cross clothes drying rack off my "do we need lists."
  17. We have had a lull in our planning but now are gearing up again. We are just over 5 weeks out from our first trip to the fort so I figured I would start asking questions again. I will just ask one now and then ask more as we go on. First, may be a stupid question but I know how Disney likes to keep things looking neat Do they allow clotheslines at the fort? Just thinking about drying towels and bathing suits daily.
  18. We are driving from NW MS in April, I made reservations at Casey Jones RV Park in Lake City, FL for the way down. May be ambitious but I would like to make it that far. I have already briefed the family on the early wake-up, sleep in the truck. For the way back we are stopping at Deer Run in Troy, AL.
  19. Thanks Jason. We don't arrive until April 27 and I still don't know what loop I want. We are about to get in to the fast and furious planning stage. I will send you the form about a week out. Mike
  20. Not having a fax machine (no land line in the house and don't know any computer stuff), is there an email address so that I can scan the form and send it in?
  21. Here is what I got a while back from "Retired and Happy (Ken". They seem to be same directions with a few more details. Hope he doesn't mind my reposting. Down I-75 to Exit 328 onto the Florida Turnpike. Exit the Turnpike onto hiway 429... Exit 267A....Daniel Webster Western Beltway. There is a high flying exit with lots of signs letting you know it goes to Disney. Exit right and keep right at the split. Proceed to Exit 8, exit right and and turn left under the hiway onto Western Way. In a mile or so you will pass under the arch welcoming you top WDW. After passing Coronado Springs Resor
