  1. Renewed our passes in January so it wouldn't effect us this year.

However with the several Florida resident specials they had last year, the Florida resident tickets going out and being sold at grocery stores and the Canadian special is it likely that they will raise the prices this year?  Now granted the specials have all been in the shower times of year, but obviously they need to sell those tickets.

  2. Great report, thank you for taking the time to write it. Seems like you had an awesome year of travels.

I started using an electric roaster Thanksgiving 2016 and have used it for turkey since makes a perfect moist turkey and in a good amount of time.  https://www.livestrong.com/article/473550-how-to-cook-a-turkey-in-a-16-qt-roaster-oven/ this is how I cook it, with the addition of my own spices. Still doesn't get a crispy skin like I like but does come out looking more browned.

  3. Nacole if it it something that would give you peace of mind while traveling and around the house then get one, if you can work it into your budget. I hope you never have to use it and years from now think back on it as a waste of money. Sometimes peace of mind is worth spending some money on though.

Is it something your looking at getting before your upcoming trip?

Thank you all. We are now toying with The idea of my sister, her husband, and son camping with us in our camper at the Fort. We'll see what we decide. They aren't much of campers but we have a great pull out couch in ours. I'll keep you updated.

Camping at the Fort isn't the same as camping at say a state park.

My uncle complained for a month, the refused to go (till we told him it wasn't a choice) when I told him we were camping at the Fort. Even ended up shorting the trip. Come check out day he ask why we were staying longer and now everytime they come down he wants to go to the Fort.

  5. It's been many many years since we went to Branson and I'm not sure if they still let you in without tickets but the bathrooms at the Shoji Tabuchi theatre are amazing. I know when we went we didn't see a show there but someone told my grandma about them so we went and checked them out. Can't remember if there was a charge or not but I don't think so. That all might have changed now, they were voted Americas best bathrooms 2009.

Not your normal tourist attraction but if ya gotta go they are the place to do it.

We used to stay here before we started camping at the Fort haven't stayed there since 2012 though so can't say how it is now but was always nice and clean when we went. They are condos 1-4 bedrooms, 2 pools on property one had a pirate ship themed water slide and pool bar the other was just a pool. They had a small convenience store and an Irish pub/restaurant on property. It's a short walk to a outlet mall.

The only problem was traffic can back up on 535/ Apoka Vineland Rd during rush hour.

And add some grilled (not breaded) shrimp between the patties?

My daughter came up with the burger/mac and cheese combo on a trip to the Fort.

And yes there were adult beverages involved and moonshine soaked cherries for snacks.

Spicy grilled shrimp, like the ones they used to have on the burger at Kona Cafe with brie.

I'm glad to read this.  When we started going about 5 years ago, everything was definitely open later.  The MK was open till midnight or 1 during our spring break trips.  This year the calenders are saying 9pm, so i hope this change happens for March as well.

I've actually been in the MK when MDE showed it closing at midnight and a few minutes later changed the closing time to 1 am.  You never know what they are going to do, guess it depends on the crowds. I prefer the later nights in the parks but that's because I'm more of a night owl.

  9. I understand stress, anxiety and depression and I'm sure emotional support animals can be helpful. But from everything I've read she was told multiple times before the day of the flight that she couldn't bring the peacock on the plane and still showed up with it. PR stunt? The peacock has it's one Instagram and Twitter accounts and its trip driving to California is being documented. Just all seems a little fishy to me.

    Ok, here it goes!

Here is a pic of the new/used/damaged/project 2015 Grand Design Reflection 317rst that I bought at an auction that a tree fell on (I think) this is from the day I picked it up and this pic is better than any pic the auction took. You can see the damage along the roof edge.

The second pic is of the damage I saw the dau I got it. The ceiling is hanging down and I knew something in the roof had snapped. 0194b35f0d7a4cef95dd6021ae12b47b.jpg46ddf2d298be7b5d6305b0ede80a08f7.jpg8256c6dffbe09b7bc7b1f1fa062b1d8a.jpg

    Ouch.

Looks like a nice trailer though, hopefully it won't give you to many problems getting it fixed up.

  11. 911 was/is down in Manatee county as well. We were at the Drs office around 1pm and their phones started working again but haven't heard anything about 911 coming back online. The text and calls they sent out gave an alternate number or said to text 911 from a mobile phone.

Kind of scary because if you didn't watch the news or weren't signed up for the emergency alerts there would be no way of knowing right off hand how to get ahold of emergency services.
