We are near Philadelphia, but I grew up in central Pa, where most of my family still lives. We've been meaning to go camping near Getttysburg so maybe we can work that in this year.

Yeah this is our third visit this year and we'll be there for two weeks this visit, So I'm less concerned about doing everything and more "meh, if we do it we do it." I have the FPs for our must rides. Thanks for the heads up about the extra early openings.

OK, nevermind. Looks like just our first day disappeared and I was able to reschedule... not exactly what I had, but it will do. The other days just didn't show up right away, but they came back. SCARY FEW MOMENTS!

I made all of our FP+ plans a month ago online. Have checked them regularly and now today, they are all gone. I am so annoyed/upset. I don't know what happened. UGH!!!!

I've watched the Youtube tour of 300 loop and looked at the App. I think I have my site requests narrowed down to 307, 316 and 340. Any of those look long enough for our coach. I'm also going to call the Fort on the 18th and see what they can do about the 28th, the only night as of yet I still don't have that preferred. Maybe they can hook me up once someone at the Fort is able to look at the reservation as opposed to a CM just sitting in some call center somewhere. As we in PA are on our second snowstorm in two days, I'm just ready to get to Florida. So. Ready. On an unrelated question.

How do they get magic bands for their entire stay if they are just booking the Fort for one night? I've heard of others doing this but still don't understand how it works. That said, I STILL need to upgrade our one night at full-hook up to Preferred and hope no one is doing this so I can get my night fixed.

I'm still coming up with our decorations. Being our first year at te Fort for the holidays I'm sure I'll leave with more ideas for next year. Where is the closest place to get a love tree down there. I'm assuming the wal mart super center?

How strict are they about fire pits without the tops. We have the kind with the grate over the top. I'd hate to waste the money to buy the approved type just for this trip.

Yes, but we are preferred in the pet friendly loop. I was looking at the App and alot of those site are barely over 45' feet long. There are only a few that are 50' (which are the ones I'll be faxing my request for). I'm sure they could try to cram us in the shorter site, but it won't be pretty. For future trips, I'll be sure to look in the bigger sites, but being this was our first time at the Fort we didn't know.

I'm going to call the fort once they can see our reservations and go over our reservations with a CM. Between all the days and the vast number of magic bands we have I don't want anything to get screwed up. If we have to move, my head will explode. If you are the Fort over the holidays I'll be the woman lying in the middle of the road in the fetal position. Looking at the app and the 300 loop, there really aren't many places they can put our rig. And think of the Christmas decorations! My gawd the Christmas decorations!

I'm checking everyday, twice a day for that preferred site. I'm also secretly hoping that people haven't cancelled yet are waiting until the last minute to do so. Oh I do so hope that's what happens.

That would be ridiculous. Back to stressing out.

Another question. The way we had to put together our reservation this year was to make 8 reservations. Some are just for one night and some are for several. All but one night are for preferred. Do I need to have Disney combine those reservations or will it all come together? I'm assuming we won't have to move 8 times But it does appear we are getting 8 sets of Magic Bands. I called about that one and was told that because it's automated and in test phase they can't NOT send us 8 sets of bands, but that we would only need one set of them. That seems silly, but whatever.

Well, just to be safe I booked our site next year Dec. 17- Jan. 3 for premium. I'll cancel just the days I don't need or the whole thing if we decide not to go. I'll show you Disney quirks!!!

Just curious, but why do you have to play with dates so much to get some random date to show up? I've had other people tell me that too, it just seems like a weird system. Thanks for checking and letting me know, by the way!

I was going over the site info with my husband and next years travel plans came up. I mentioned if we wanted premium we should book soon. I went to the Disney site and looked at our two week dates and get this, all nights are open for all sites except Dec 28 (premium not open) that's the same night I don't have preferred for our upcoming trip. What is it with Dec 28 in the Fort?

Looking at the app sites on the 300 loop and I'm starting to wonder if we would have been better off with a full-hook up. I'm worrying about the 45' backing into some of the 300 sites. I'm sure others have done it. Oh well, next time. Two weeks will give hubby and I plenty of time to look around and plan our next trips and what sites we want.

THANKS! I've been checking frequently too. It baffles me that just ONE night can be fully booked. I mean, I'm sure someone local comes and camps for a night, but I know I couldn't do that!
