My family and I are looking at heading the Tn in early summer. Anybody have any favorites spots or rv parks they would recommend. Thanks so much. -
Crowd Calendars
CoachSeibert replied to CoachSeibert's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
Sounds good. Our normal routine because our kids are morning people is to be there for rope drop at whatever park is seems best and we shoot for a 1pm exit back to camper. We usually have Park Hopper so we rest for the afternoon and sometimes head back to a park in the evening. We are touring plans believers also. -
Looking for info. How accurate are the Crowd Calendars out there. We are planning Spring Break trip and are fully prepared for some crowds. This will be our 4th trip and second to the Fort. Last trip was cut short by father in law passing. Anybody been there during Spring Break? We are arriving Easter Sunday and staying the week. Thanks for your help.

Pressure Regulator Necessary at Fort
CoachSeibert replied to CoachSeibert's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
Another question from a novice. Do I need to be equipped with multiple sizes? Are the spigots different sizes around the country etc? I mean bought regulator that's 5/8. Just realized hose is 1/2 in (don't judge . Not the sharpest tool sometimes. Thanks -

T-Minus 9 weeks and counting.....Can't wait for the inaugural trip for the Passport......

Seems like on paper it should work well. Since we are planners anyway, laying out the days makes sense to us. Seems like hitting one park early and using advance reservations for what will be our "evening" park makes the most sense since the FP+ are limited to a certain number per day. May just be our family dynamic.

Tow Vehicle
CoachSeibert replied to Katman1356...Jason's topic in Camper Suggestions: from tents to Class A beauties
Just curious....what did you see as the drawbacks? We have looked at several "supertruck" type vehicles, F650, International MXT/CXT type stuff. Thanks -

The Voltage is coming...
CoachSeibert replied to CoachSeibert's topic in Camper Suggestions: from tents to Class A beauties
We will be arriving on June 6th, if anyone is around feel free to visit...I actually plan to set up some cones and practice the back in with obstacles. We live in a area with lots of rooms so I figure that would be a good idea. Tow vehicle is a 3500 dodge dually.... -
The Voltage is coming...
CoachSeibert replied to CoachSeibert's topic in Camper Suggestions: from tents to Class A beauties
I think the scouting with golf cart is definite must. We had already planned to unload cart as soon as we possibly could. While I know most campers are a patient lot...42ft is 42ft... And it will take a little time.....having grown up on a farm, I can drive backwards pretty well...BUT....I typically don't have loop full of spectators taking bets on the outcome..... -
The Voltage is coming...
CoachSeibert replied to CoachSeibert's topic in Camper Suggestions: from tents to Class A beauties
We will have a golf cart with us so I am not terribly concerned with distance from amenities and the like. I am thinking I may call the fort and just talk to them about rig size and the like. Then I am going to try the "faxing a week" out method for site requests. For the question above, no it is not the biggest one...there is one model bigger. We are not from Maryland. Coming from small town in southern alabama. Thanks for all the help and input. I really appreciate it. -

We have requested 1400 loop. Since you have experience with rig this size are those loops better.... Was thinking premium loops would be best. Thanks so much
